Why not take it to Apple? They give you store credit, so you could just take the X back to them once you have it and get a refund then repurchase it using the credit.

02 recycle with the code is slightly more than CPW, but with the added cost of special delivery, I plan to pop down to CPW on Mon and give back my phone, as long as I get my new one on Fri.
thats my plan if I can't sell my 7 plus on gumtree.

selling mine for £500 on gumtree so might be able to get that for it..if not will go to CPW for £450

I was thinking that myself, but seems to be a bit of a hassle?! You would get a similar amount of money and I wish I could simply leave my 7plus, get a discount and head off.

Any EE pre-orderers had any sort of order confirmation yet? All my order shows is ‘awaiting confirmation’.[/QUOTE
HI On my two has Order confirmation EE Pre-order is confirmed Delivery date the 3 nov 2017.

Don’t worry, you’ll be changing your phone next September
Very true, for the X Plus. However, I wouldn’t want it to deplete the battery within the year but then I guess warranty would cover it. But, I read if the battery is fast charged vs slow charge the battery drains quicker with the same useage.

How is it possible for the battery to drain quicker if it has been charged to the same full capacity via both chargers??

Also in same boat here man. 2nd Dec thanks to the app popping up telling me that 'the model you've select is ready to be picked up' on Friday the 3rd of November. Wasn't until I looked at my reservations 10mins later I found out that this wasn't the case and it never went through.

Thanks Apple!

I know this is stupid thought but feel like I got stitched up by the App, what with it being down for so long whilst the store was accessible through Safari.

Why didn't you do what most of us did and have a computer with the apple site loaded and refresh that at same time? Or use multiple devices?

Heard that you can just walk into any CPW store and trade in iPhone, literally just the iPhone nothing else, and they credit your debit card instantly. Seems very convenient! Apple pickup and CPW is around corner to it.

What checks with your phone do they do? Must do something to check it's yours?

Whatever checks they do, they also have your bank account details. Any issues they will just reverse the credit.

Bit difficult as I was walking into work at the time crossing busy roads & streets at the time. I was taking a risk trying to use the app.

For those of you in the U.K. do what I did last year. Because Apple delivers through DPD it’s best to download their app from the App Store and update your address in the details. It’ll automatically update if there is a delivery for your address so then you have a clear indication of delivery times. I did this for my vodafone last year and it worked wonderfully.

Thanks. EE use DPD aswell

They check its IMEI, general condition (turns on, battery full, screen etc), and that, of course, it belongs to you. They give you a quote and if accept it then you wipe the device and remove it from icloud. You may need a form of ID also. It is a very simple process and takes less than 20 minutes if that to do.

Has anyone in the UK managed to track their package?

If you are talking about accessories then yes, once the tracking number gets into the post office system you will see it. If you get tracking number not known then the package is not yet in their system even though the number is known,

The iPhone X won't charge at 10W though will it? Thought was only 7.5W and that's with a software update to come.

I also want a 7.5W, with an adapter. If get one for car can it be plugged into a USB and still charge at its max rate?

So can someone clarify. If we used the ‘old’ Apple 10w or 12w charging plugs and a micro usb to a QI base, then once Apple activate the 7.5w ‘fast’ wireless charging these adapters will work as fast as they can?
