The consignment has been delayed within the UK Mail network, this could be
for a variety of reasons, parcel sent to the wrong delivery office, inclement
weather etc. The new expected delivery date following the delay will be shown
in the delivery date field.

If this forms any patterns for anyone:

Two 4S iPhones ordered from apple.com both shipping to the same address -

Black 16GB via TNT
White 16GB via syncreon/UKmail "at delivery location"

Both supposed to be delivered today. So the courier is either totally random or has to do with colour. If so, the whites are getting shafted because syncreon is idiotic. Why a company making profits this massive can't ship with a straightforward courier is beyond me. Bollockjugglers.

iBlue - mine is the a black 16GB and even though the current UK Mail status says "At delivery location" it also says delayed and my expected delivery date has changed to Monday.

Not happy.

Pretty big queue at the Trafford Centre. They've already run out of 16GB and white 32GB models. They are handing out cards to reserve the phone you want.

Mine (White 16GB) just came in via UKMail. Pleasantly surprised because i'm usually the last delivery at around 6pm. Then again that was with UPS/TNT. Off to setup/play now.

Good luck to all.

That sucks! I sure hope that doesn't happen because this is going to be a rough weekend if my husband has his phone and I don't. :p

yeah tell me about it sucks!

UK Mail van just pulled up, came to the door, rang doorbell. Knew it couldn't be my phone because mine's with UPS!

Still got excited :p.

Well, i finally got the shipped notification for my iPhones at 21:55 last night. According to the UPS tracking information, it was processed at 16:34 and origin scanned at 23:45 at Tamworth. It is now out for delivery as of 4:51am so will be here on time. :D

Only thing i need to contend with now, is if the phone gets delivered before i leave work at 12 today.

Have fun all. Enjoy the new toys!!!

Just got mine UK Mail, I ask him if he'd got lots for delivery today and he said not so many, but they'd got extra staff for tomorrow as they had 4.5 thousand to get out. I'm in Preston by the way.

Delivery Problem

What I suspect the "delivery problem" is is that I live about 50 miles from the depot; and they can't be bothered.

Some advice for anyone ordering a new product from the Apple Store: DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ELSE AT THE SAME TIME!

I ordered a MacBook Air as well (for VAT reasons they need to be on the same order) and the Air and the iPhone have each delayed each other due to the way Apple's systems work (which isn't very well).

First of all the iPhone 4S delayed the MacBook Air, which was completed in China several days ago, but had to sit there until the iPhone 4S was ready to ship (from the UK) for some strange reason.

Now the Air is delaying the iPhone 4S because the phone is now sitting in the UK ready to be shipped but it has to wait for the Air to come over from China, be delivered to the same warehouse and then be delivered together to my address.

I found this out from customer services, who said this was due to credit card laws meaning that the goods had to be shipped together. Why this prevented them shipping the Air from China the moment it was assembled I have no idea. And Amazon don't seem to have any problem shipping orders separately.

So it looks like I have to wait another week because Apple's delivery logistics are highly inefficient when you order something else on the same order as a new product that they are holding back for release day.

As I say, the upshot is not to order anything else when a new product comes out, unless you have to (which unfortunately I did).

My iPhone 4S is currently out for delivery with DPD. Says the estimated time is between 11:57am and 12:57pm. :O

I ordered mine through Three on Sunday and I didn't recieve any email/text saying my iPhone 4S would be delayed until Saturday. Am I one of the lucky few, or...? D:
