i went to the three store and they said they dont give the fones on PAYG basis!! u need to sign a contract!!

You need to try a different 3 store then, loads of people on here have walked into a 3 store and walked out with a payg iphone 4s. See my previous messages, the metrocentre, gateshead 3 store is happy to sell on payg status.

Same situation here. I read that unlocks won't happen over weekend as apple don't do weekends, so I'm expecting unlock to happen on monday, should get a text message to confirm.

Meantime, been testing out the 3 network and its been good, the 3g download speed has been good - usually get 3mb
 
when you use the apple app on the iphone, at what point do you refresh? Or do you just leave it on the select phone screen until one appears?

Around about 9 click on reserve to see and click cancel then click reserve again to refresh.

Have to agree. 3 has been considerably better than O2 for me. Getting 3G coverage at home where I normally only get edge.
 
saw loads at stratford city. accidently reserved like 4 but firefox started to lag a lot ended up with none...

Depends how good the different stores are at uploading their stock. I'd have thought it was automatic that they would know their stock at the beginning of the day and the number sold, but maybe not.
