UK iPhone 4S thread.

I ordered 1 iPhone, the system ordered 8. I used a debit card, and £4,800 was taken. Then, I called up, and the person screwed up and cancelled all of them.
Apple then decided to cancel each order I made after that without reason so fast forward to the 14th, I pay via wire transfer.

Don't have any mornings fully free until Friday which takes the piss so I really hope the London stores have some 16GB's for reserve on Thursday night. Told myself there's no way I'm getting a Black iPhone 4S but I think come Thursday if that's all I can get then I'll just take it. I'm sick and tired of using this Nokia 1616 for the last 6 months when everyone else in my household has a top end Smartphone. 😡

That a little advice from an old man might help here. Forget about my Apple contacts and the discounts I get. I sit in the same line as all of you here.
I had a delivery date between 26 October and the 2nd of November.
You know what i did when the tracking screen remains the same? Did I scream at my Apple sales crew? err..No
Did I express anticipation? Of course.
Is my delivery on time and on date? Yes. My phone shipped last night and will be here Monday.
I won't actually offend your collective intelligence by putting in a moral here. You can work that one out for yourselves.

It was just shipped from Apple today, from Hinckley - but the order of which the statuses are appearing in is wrong. Out for delivery, then estimated then arrival terminal then shipment pickup.
If someone gets your order and sales number, they had your address and they'd probably be able to tell what it is, given that it says Apple on the page.
I'm in the UK now, going back to Los Angeles/West Hollywood in January 😛

So at least you know....Yes, UPS DO deliver on Saturdays but you have to pay extra. That does seem off,but it has alway's been that way. My iMac spent a weekend in Tremorfa (Cardiff} depot when I could have been using it...Never mind.
Mine will be here Monday or Tuesday as originally stated. No gripes here! In fact, I'm still setting up my new MBP spa little break in between suits me. Also have friends arriving from Manchester tomorrow, 4 FaceTime conversations to NYC and New Zealand happening over the weekend too.
I hate it when you get a new device and it sits in a box for a day or so while you attend to other stuff. I'm still not sure if I'm going to start from scratch with the 4S or use my existing B/up I'd prefer to use the 4's backup files but some stuff needs clearing out anyway. Oh well.

mines in tamworth too, looks like i was right about the regional thing, bit of a pisstake though why did they send it to tamworth? theres a ups centre right next to me in kings cross, that would make sense as its closer to me and 10 mins away from south london, guess now i know its coming on monday i feel better, did yours say its coming at the end of the day? or beggining?
does SYNCREON PARCEL DELIVERY deliver on Saturday?

Just heading to the Reading store to pick up my reservation I made last night! So glad I didn't order it as I'd be waiting another week and a half!
Gonna do one last iCloud backup when I get to the apple store then set up the new 4S as an iCloud backup 🙂

I'm not sure, you could maybe give them a ring and see if you could pick it up if they don't deliver.

They just ask for the reservation name and then of course payment If you call them in advance to explain I would assume it will be fine. I wasn't asked for any id.
Loving my 4S! 🙂 Siri is pretty cool, not perfect, but still wicked, shame we can't do the map/businesses stuff though, but soon i hope!!
they ask for ID in the one i was at, they said it was policy and they all have to do it, you have to be the person that the Apple ID is registered to, as the person behind me was picking one up for his mum and they wouldn't do it unless she came down, 5 mins of haggling and still they wouldn't saying it's policy and they cannot break it. they said the only thing that could be done would be if the person did a signed letter saying who was picking it up on their behalf.
