Just had a brilliant phone call from o2 (my current network)....

Went through all security questions

Him... Just calling in regards to a recent webchat you had with one of our advisors, where you obtained a PAC code to take your number to 3 network.

Me..... Yep

Him.... I wondered if you'd mind answering a couple of questions about this?

Me...... Ok

Him...... What was it that made you decide to leave o2 for another network?

Me..... If im honest, i was waiting for o2 to release their details and pre orders all day, but when i saw other networks allowing pre orders and o2 just saying "keep checking back" i decided to go to 3

Him.... Ok, so it was a case that they got their prices out before us then, and what are 3 giving you with their contract

Me..... Unlimited data which o2 dont offer and free tethering which o2 charge for

Him.... (ignoring what ive just said) how much are you paying a month?

Me ..... Same as what i was with you

Him..... and which handset have you gone with?

Me ...... 64 GB

Him..... and how much are they charging you for that? (said in a "bet your paying loads" way)

Me ...... 109 pound.

Silence........

Him...... Oh.... yeah, thats a good deal. In fact thats a cracking deal.

Me...... I know, they are still taking pre orders on their site.... you should have a look.

Him.... I might do.

Me.... Well if thats all, thanks for your call. Bye.

Him..... erm.... bye.

I've had my one and I don't even want the bloody thing, been trying to cancel it all week as I've got an in store pick up tomorrow morning (customer service cocked up my over the phone order and gave me a new account instead of upgrading)

Unless someone offers me daft money for it, it's not even being accepted

Take it and try and blab two? HahahA

How did you get the 1Z tracking number, I just called apple and the electronic woman told me she will email me shipping information, will it be on there?

Got the number from Apple over the phone. It you can't get it it will show later on the Apple Bridge Point page you get to when you track the shipment on apples site. The 1Z number gets added in addition to the numbers that are there. I was just impatient and called Apple for it!

Lol, thanks... I'll try and be patient, I bet they are getting bombarded with calls from us apple geeks!

I left O2 mainly because they refuse to offer any form of unlimited data plan, which I just think is crazy as at least three of their competitors do.

And, it didn't help their case that won't be able to offer 4G on the iPhone5 either.

I was with O2 for about 6 years until 2 days ago but they just seem to be dropping the ball all the time.

Nano sim fluff up.
No unlimited data.
Charging £21 more for the iPhone 5 which will be locked to their network

Crazy!

Called Vodafone earlier to activate my Nano Sim. Was completed in about 2 minutes. Currently using it in a crappy old Blackberry :(

It's rubbish

I've got to say, Three is doing incredibly well this week.

They've been on the ball and they managed to get their pre-ordering, tariff information, and nano-SIM pickups all sorted before the pre-ordering started on Friday. No other network managed to get themselves in order so efficiently.

Three are also offering fantastic contract-tariffs. Normally going SIM-free is the cheapest option, but Three's iPhone 5 deals only end up costing a few £s more over a 24 month contract. This is clever, because they've made it a no-brainer to switch to them from other carriers, and I'm sure that most of these new customers will stay with Three once they experience how fast their network is.

Judging from the posts on here, as well as elsewhere, a lot of people have gone with 3 this year.

O2 still refuse to give me a nano SIM, so I'm seriously considering a SIM only plan from 3, despite the fact that I have a year left on my £16.50 p/w O2 contract.

Guys, no need to phone apple for a tracking number for UPS.

I just tried my tracking number on the apple website, the one starting with a number 8 next to where it says "Tracking number"

I entered it into the reference box on UPS site (not the normal tracking box). It worked, brought up a page saying how a label has been made and it will update later.

Indeed, been very impressed with them this week. Speed on my iPhone 4 is also good, looking forward to trying in my 5 though to see HSDPA speeds!

Yes this works, comes up for me as well.

Tried it earlier and last night and it wasn't working, they must have just updated the orders.
