Three customer here. Called up to get my tracking number. If any1 else doesn't have theirs then it was pretty quick to do so.

Status is currently 'At Sortation Facility' in Birmingham

Ordered 0801am and been showing 21st all week, just changed to 24th

This sounds like the iPad farce all over again. Taken tomorrow off work based

on their info and on the Thursday night it changes!!!! I stay in Scotland so

guess their van can't get to the so called middle of nowhere in 1 day.

Scotland was always delivery for 24th according to the publicised scheduling.

Any one who ordered through Phones4U had much luck with delivery for tomorrow? I placed my order over the phone for a Black 32GB..

I keep being told -
" Currently the date for stock is the 21/09/2012 and it subject to be delivered on this date however this is not guaranteed due to this being a new product and we are governed by Apples terms and conditions. We will endeavour to deliver all orders on the date advised however as this is a new release this can be subject to change and we have no guarantee it will be completed on the 21/09/2012 so as a business we do have to advise maximum timescales."

And then -
" As it is past the dispatched time it is not likely to be dispatched this evening. But once it has left us you will be emailed. "

And then -
" I cannot give my 100% guarantee it has not gone through we are trying to complete all orders as quickly as we can. They may of sent the phone but the system is yet to be updated. As soon as it has left us you will be emailed. "

I guess it's wait and see!

I just spoke to T-Mobile after my pre-order saga (wrong colour ordered for me). The gentleman said I could go to the store early and get one, all my details would be on screen of my upgrade on the phone. I just have to reject the one being delivered tomorrow.

Anybody know how accurate this is? I'm going to the Oxford Street one at about 7am (store opens at 8) anybody have any ideas of their allocation. He said they should definitely have some avaialble for walk in upgrades as well (guess it's just down to your place in the queue).

Any help would be massively appreciate.

Quick question - I bought an unlocked iPhone 5, but will the first sim card I put in be locked onto that network forever?

Or can I put one network sim in, then a week later put in another from a different provider?

Think it might be time to contact Orange again as no handset no change to contract as part of the upgrade...Would be nice if the big O looked after there existing customers... there's no rush for the phone just don't want new tariff to start without the handset...

:D sounds like you're thinking of Regional locking on DVD drives! no, it won't be locked into the first network forever. It's forever unlocked.

I FINALLY got through to a helpful T-Mobile customer service rep who told me my iPhone was “being picked” as we speak and should get delivered by UK Mail tomorrow. **fingers crossed**

For anyone who is still having trouble getting any useful information out of T-Mobile regarding iPhone 5 orders, this is how I was able to extract the info out of them.

It seems that on all T-Mobile iP5 orders, when the customer service rep’s take your information at the start of the call (address, post code, order number), a screen immediately pops up instructing them to “advise customers that phone is being released on the 21st.” The goal here, is to get them to look past this screen and to actually look into your order..

With help from what I read on the T-Mobile forums, it seems people have been getting automated e-mail responses from T-Mobile when sending emails to get status updates on orders. The automated response says something about having received the customer’s request to invoke DSR. I’m not entirely sure what this means, but it seems to be enough to confuse the T-Mobile customer service reps into looking more closely into your order. So here’s what to do…

Call 01577652091 because it’s a free number, then choose option 1, then option 1 again… When a service rep picks up tell them:

  • You’ve called recently to get a status update on your order and have been told that your order was already picked and ready for dispatch.
  • If they bother you at this stage tell them, you’ve been told they already have their iPhone stock (obviously, because the order has been picked already)
  • Then tell them you received a random email from them saying that T-Mobile has received your request to invoke DSR, and that you are confused and you just want to make sure your phone is still getting delivered.

They will then (hopefully) take a closer look into your account and be able to give you an updated status on your order, a 10 digit order number starting with 02xxxxxxxx, and what courier will be delivering your iPhone.

From what I have gathered they are using both Royal Mail and UK Mail. If your order is being delivered by UK Mail, it might help to take a look at this statement they released today:

https://www.ukmail.com/media/docs/Im...e-delivery.pdf

Hope this helps…

Thank you so much for this.

I was given the number beginning with 02 but unable to get the name of the courier delivering the phone. Does anyone know what I can now do with this reference number (literally so new to this so sorry).

Thanks :)

You can put any sim in, whenever you want, it never locks

Wow Vodafone are doing themselves no favours today! Tried to activate my sim. Wasn't working so called them to activate it and there's something wrong with the sim card apparently! No nano sim, no normal sim, bloody good job I still have my o2 one in there!

Just rung up 02 and they said estimated delivery time will be about 3 weeks.

I Pre orderd mine Saturday Morning. How bad is that? Wow!

Highly doubt it, they have no way of checking store stock. Unless you've payed the £25 reservation fee and the store has already confirmed it.

My UPS also slipped to 24th for delivery :(

Just need to pin my hopes on UK mail delivering the other one ;)

Just got off the phone with a very nice person from carphonewarehouse, i placed my order on the 18th and shes given me a tracking number. However despite being told it would be delivered tommorow she told me it could well be monday 'bad times' also she said she was fairly sure that the reason I didnt get a disptach email was because my email address wasnt on the system lol

It will stay unlocked forever.
