We got to the Southampton store at 11.30 and are about number 50 in the queue. There are huge groups of quite young Chinese people at the front that know each other and are playing football together, moving back and forth up the line and grouping together. Do you think these are scalpers?
How big is the queue now?

Departed Tamworth at 11.48 last night!

I was in the Leeds Apple Store earlier in the week, on the very optimistic off chance that they'd have iPhone 6 cases on sale, and a young chinese guy was actually trying to bribe the sales assistant for an iPhone 6. He had a wad of cash in his hand and everything.

DISPATCHED! :D:D:D
My 6+ 64GB was estimated to be delivered between the 29th sept and 3rd Oct, now the date changed to the 22nd, Monday :D

Liverpool had a large queue. A small group of asian guys showed up and cut into the line and caused a bit of trouble, said they were there earlier and had other asians side with them and convince the Apple employees.

They threatened people to keep quiet, surrounded some student-aged guy who was trying to get them go to the back, and threatened to break his teeth. He left and then a few others left. I figured I'd be better off waiting anyway. Greed can bring out the worst in people.

Syncreon guys,

Please tell me you don't have your house number displayed on the tracking site.

I do, but I don't see my post code, however UKMail has our correct address from Apple, so don't worry :D

Damn, that's troubling, another reason not to queue

I know it well. I work on the Uni campus and live in Spinningfields. Think the UPS depot is in Eccles. We can, therefore, deduce that the order of delivery is ... random.

Well, Spinningfields is closer to Eccles. We'll see who's is delivered firsy ;)

Out for delivery here in Leeds. Isn't that a bit early? I mean where is the driver going to plausibly drop off at 5:30am?

I can only think that they go to the furthest drop off from their depot and work back in?

Probably not - I'm about to fall asleep (odd sleeping patterns, not staying up for any particular reason.) The receptionist downstairs will take delivery and I'll get it whenever I wake up. Having said that, I probably do need to post my 5S to Fonebank today while the £350 quote is still valid.

Just woken up, managed a good 7 hours sleep before the big day even though I was really excited :)

Leaving in less than an hour to go pick mine up (I live an hour from the O2 store)

I'm not even that excited... yet....

Having not queued before I'm finding these stories of queue jumpers and threats utterly disgusting, both on here and elsewhere. Amazing what lengths people will go to for a phone.

Anyway, I have my reservation slot at Regent Street so debating how early I should get there.
Also whether to trade my iP5 in but then have to unpack my new phone instore?? And lastly how to leave the store inconspicuously:)

Yes I agree, I don't get why do such thing and cause trouble.

Do they give you a time slot for your reservation?.

Mine is showing as having arrived at the delivery depot at 1:47am.

In less good news, first iPhone sold in Perth is dropped by mistake during TV report: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0xlyGTMkGZU
