Unbelievable. You really shouldn't buy these on paper specifications. Worried about the RAM and resolution? You plonker.

I second that. I chuckled a bit at the 'only 1080p' comment. The screen is stunning and for me the only drawback is its size, however this can be tried out before purchase anyway.
Having experienced the tab reloading issue in the past I know how frustrating it is. As 4K is going to be the next trend I'd like like to see how to it's implemented in phones, especially since 1080p phones have been around for ever so long now I'd like to see the what's next. It really, really bugs me that Apple haven't fixed that RAM issue yet - coming from an iPad Air 2 and N5 both with 2GB, neither of which ever have to reload browser tabs or lose what I'm doing on background apps. If one of my iPhone 5 and N5 were broken then I would have upgraded this year but as it's not urgent then I'll wait for September.

Going to the Apple Store today for a GB Appointment - was wanting to get a 128GB SG 6+ while there, but there aren't any available for reservation.

It says at the bottom of the page that some models may still be available for walk-in purchases - has anyone had an experience where the phone was unavailable for reservation but they still had them in stock in store to buy?

Thanks. :)

If you bought it from a carrier phone, it will be locked to that carrier. It will lock to the first SIM temporarily, until you connect it to iTunes and it gets the new lock status. This is because the lock isn't applied until the phone is registered on the sale, and this is often done in batches on the backend, so until this has been done, your phone doesn't know what it is and defaults to "first sim" mode.

If you buy from anywhere other than Apple or a carrier, it will always be "locked to first sim" mode.

EE's unlocking page is here. http://ee.co.uk/help/getting-started/joining-ee/unlocking-your-phone

It depends on your service type (PAYG is £20), contract they will only unlock the original handset.

Tried with an EE sim and works fine.
However, I am not with EE. I've sent off a complaint to their head office as they are saying as I bought the phone, it's mine, but they won't unlock it as it's still attached to the original contract, which in their terms and conditions, means they own the phone until 6 months into that contract.

They're basically having it both ways... clowns!

The main button on my (out of warranty) iPhone 5 died yesterday so I decided to amuse my credit card company by ordering a new iPhone 6 direct from Apple. Have to say, it was fast -- ordered 9am Tuesday, delivered to local UPS pickup point for collection 3pm Wednesday. Backup restored and working fine an hour later. Had been bracing myself for a long evening of reconfiguring apps and swearing at Apple...

It is refreshing how a backup uploads all the settings etc even down to the wallpaper that was being used.

I pre-ordered my iPhone 6 on the Apple online store and have been very happy although now I'm quite seriously craving the 6+ #

Does anyone happen to know if the London Apple stores (more specifically Stratford) do the recycle program in-store? I'd like to 'recyle' my 6 and have the credit taken off the purchase price of the 6Plus. Do they do that in store in the UK and if so, what would I need to take with me.to the store?

Thanks!

I think you'll find they all do but you can ring them before setting off to check.

I sold my iPhone 5s to my local Uk Apple Store recently.

You'll need a full driving licence or passport.

They'll check a few settings and then input it onto their iPad and make an offer.

If you have a local CEX check what they offer too.

They certainly do, you need a passport or driving licence to prove your identity though (as I found out to my disappointment in Covent Garden)!

You'd be losing quite a lot of money though, if I were you, I'd wait for the 6S at this point - your choice!

Cheers guys!

I know I 'should' wait but I'm far too Impatient! Will likely be getting the 6s on release too! Lol

Do I have to take the box and plug/earphones too, or are they not necessary?

I wouldn't have thought to take ID BTW ##

You'd be better off selling via mobilephoneexchanhe.co.uk for a much better price and buying the plus outright.

No all they want is the phone which is great because one can always do with a spare charger and earphones. #

i got an iPhone 6 128gb from the apple store at the trafford centre a couple of months a go... really love it but i recently had a play with an iPhone 6+ and now wish i had got one of them.

completely disregarded the ip6+ at launch, didn't even try it in the hand... wish i had now.

so I'm now considering selling the iPhone 6 and getting an iPhone 6+

anyone else done this and do you regret it now having an iPhone 6+

Thanks
Ian

I spent a few days trying out the demo models in my local Apple Store.

Using them both to navigate to the websites I use regularly to see how each looked plus using the usual stock apps such as messages.

Yes at first the iP6+ felt big but after around a Week of use I knew id made the right decision to get the+

Buyers remorse can play a part too.

It's the same device, just slightly bigger. Is that really worth hundreds of pounds to change, impatient or otherwise?

I recently had a try of a friends 6+ & was impressed, but it's too far through the cycle now to change my iPhone 6. So I'll wait to see what the 6S+ has too offer.
