UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

If anyone's buying from O2 and collecting in store it may be worth noting when I picked mine up today with the intention of going for the £38 per month contract I was up-sold to another deal but it's pretty good, better than they're advertising:

- iPhone 6 (64GB)
- £150 up front
- Unlimited mins and texts
- 10GB of data
- 6 Months free insurance (no tie-in and covers drops and water damage)
- £43 per month (24 months)

That's double the data and with the added insurance to what's advertised so not bad. Might be useful to someone! :)
 
Is there any way of checking stock levels online at UK Apple Stores?

There are about 7 that it's feasible for me to get to and I'd rather know before I turn up without having to ring around all of them.
 
Mine was due for delivery on 29 September.

Had an update email from Apple today saying it would be delivered tomorrow (Saturday)

UPS tracking saying it is on time for delivery on Monday.


It's like a lottery!

You can reserve apparently from midnight tonight if that helps.
 
ID required for delivery?

Received ours today (central London) at work. However, I had to show ID - the UPS guy said he had a couple of other people in tears earlier as they had no ID on them. He is under strict instructions not to deliver without an ID - the receptionist who usually signs for everything from Apple even had to come and find me.

Has anyone else seen this? Is it just a first day thing? A colleague will be having theirs delivered next week, and is worried he might not be in the office to receive them. Neither the Apple site or emails have said anything about this change in policy.

Eeeeeek - mine is being delivered to my office either tomorrow or Monday and I'm not there until 2pm on Monday afternoon - I hope it's just an over-zealous delivery guy!

Mine was delivered at work today. I just happened to go out as the UPS guy turned up and he gave it to me there and then. No ID, just a signature.
 
Anyone Else Still Waiting for Uk Mail?

My delivery window was around 3-4pm and still nothing - deliveries stop at 8pm:eek:
 
Just had a chat with Apple online and it doesn't look like they are sure whats gonna happen, I was told to expect monday to avoid disappointment but It could arrive tommorow :/
 
Well mine arrived at 11am this morning from UPS. It's taking a bit getting used to the size, but typing on it is a delight, the larger keyboard is a lot easier to use. Hopefully more apps will be updated for the larger screen, the scaling makes things big and a little blurry.

Very happy over all though! I've spent the last 20 mins doing 240fps videos of me using a lighter.

Mines working fine. Could just be an unfortunate lemon.
 
So my 6+ space grey 128gb was delivered about 4pm despite the tracking info at UKMail saying it was still at the depot. It wasn't a ukmail van looked like a local courier. So those still waiting don't lose hope. It's still possible it will come tonight despite what your tracking info says. I'm in Bangor, North Wales.

6+ is awesome and not as big as I feared. Very usable despite my not having the biggest hands. Definitely pleased I went for this rather than the 6.

Thanks for telling me that for the same price I only get 5GB and no insurance.

Oh well, I'll never use 5GB in anyway and I get insurance though my bank and I'll be getting AppleCare.

Was having issues earlier at home but it's been fine for last few hours.
