I took an ex girlfriend to an iPhone launch once. Think it was 3GS and we reserved (had a genius spot which was how they did it).

We were cheered into the shop.

We split up not long after. I don't think she ever forgave me.

my girlfriend worked as a manager for a phone shop and said if i ever got an iPhone she would smash it up so i left the 3 and went out and got the 3gs bought it home and she snatched it out of my hands and no word of a lie within 10 mins i had to go out and buy her one :D

Managed to get a 64GB plus in space grey this evening at Braehead. There was a queue for reservations at 19:30.

If you can stretch get the 64gb , ios8 takes up 5g or something already

I have a 16Gb 5s at the moment with 8Gb free as I don't use it for music, only apps so I think 16Gb will be ok for my needs, if I ever get down to only a few Gb free then that's when I will consider a larger model on next upgrade.

Adam.

Btw for reference: I reserved a SG 64gb 6 today at Meadowhall and DIDNT get it - went white instead.

Therefore if this suits you - it's almost guaranteed to be available at midnight. Hope this helps someone in this thread - you guys are like family, but I'm about to fly the nest....
