It's enabled the instant you downloaded and installed iOS 9.0. It's a pink app. Considering how controversial "pink" has been in MR, it should have pleased or offended you by now.

I don't think we have that News app in the UK

Don't know why News isn't showing for some people on here; it's on both my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6.

And that's with my language/region set to UK.

How are you all getting the "a year" option? I only get the monthly payment option

It's an old plan that's grandfathered for those users. If they ever change, they can't go back to it. I used to be on it, but with the advent of iCloud Photo Library I had to bump to 500GB, so as of today I'm now on 1TB for the same price. Kinda wish they'd kept 500GB around and halved its price, but there we go :)

iOS 9 safari now has ad blockers and boy does it make safari fly! The only one that seems to be on the uk store. At the moment is crystal. It's free but leaves a blank space where the ad used to be. I want to give blockr a go once it goes live.

1Blocker looks awesome

Anybody any idea when 9.1 will be released (final version, not a beta) would be nice if it was released when we get our phones so we have the news app!

From the apple forums

News is currently only operating if your region is set to the US - (UK and Australia coming soon hopefully). Setting the Region to United States in Settings -> General -> Language & Region -> Region = US and then reboot your device will activate the News app now for you. Newsstand is now being depreciated because of the new News app.

Has anybody else noticed that safari tabs aren't reloading every time you tap onto one. Still not perfect but a big improvement
