I don't know why but I'm really fascinated with people's reasons for moving to iOS from android. Maybe it's a stereo type, but so many android users I meet are so anti apple!
But one thing I hate about iPhones is battery life so surprised to read your comment on the nexus 5. Was the battery on the nexus 6 good even if the phone was slow and buggy? Will be interesting to see what the new nexus 6 will be like given that they've gone with huawei this time.
Crikey I just realised im discussing android on an apple forum, I best stop before I start any fires 😛
I believe that battery life will 9/10 be better on an iPhone then any Android Phone. This is because Apple design the hardware and software, so they can specifically optimise battery life through hardware & software, eg their custom chips.
Some of the new Android phones have 4gb ram, this may make the phone run faster, but will be more harsh on the battery life.
I switched from the iPhone to Android a couple of years ago when I bought google glass.
Then switched back as I'd already sent back the google glass, and the terrible performance and camera of the nexus 6 was the last straw.
IOS has caught up a lot more now to the features you get with Android, so I don't feel like I'm missing too much.
6 things iPhones tend to have over Android Phones IMO:
1.Better/Easier warranty repair/replacement support
2. iPhones hold their resale value more
3. Quicker/Snappier OS
4. Better quality pictures from the camera
5. Longer battery life
6. Less OS crashes/freezes
But if the average person asks me which OS to go for, I tend to say that they should use both and see which suits them better, essentially there isn't too much difference between android and iOS devices.
