Setting up the Air. Something went wrong and it abandoned setting it up for me and is making me do it myself. First step: downloading software update.
Initial impressions: It feels very comfortable in my hand. Not light, but not heavy. It is clearly bigger than my 16 regular. The plateau and camera bump are not at all obtrusive, though it does wobble if you lay it flat on a table.

My wife has had a shocker - got a message saying that we were not in for the phone delivery when of course we are - problem is we moved house in the past year and she had not clicked that the address for the order had defaulted to our old address and they had tried to deliver it there. On the phone to Support line now.
So I was told by Sky that it would be arriving today, took a day off work and the the delivery hasn't been updated. Spoke to someone this morning and they said it was 90% chance it would be delivered today, if not, then tomorrow
I am now being told that they didn't receive the phones from Apple until today and mine won't be here until the 26th. I don't mind waiting, but I hate being told lies, especially as I have lost a day at work.
I Now have to take another day off work to wait in for it next week.

Still nothing from DPD, it’s been in the local depot close to 9 hours now FFS
Tell her to go on Whatnot or try her luck at the Popmart raffle there hard to get the real ones but I’ve been lucky enough to get 3x

It's the same with all mobile operators tbh mate. The CS never have a clue.
I love the iPhone Air so light and feels great. The iCloud restore is still running in the background. It completed a software update and it's working its little heart out and yes it's warm to touch at the top of the phone. It's not 'hot' no where as hot as my iPhone 16 pro got especially when doing a software update.
The iMessage and FaceTime alerts were a bit mental but I didn't realise I needed to respond on both phones so they were piling up and kept reappearing. dismissed them all on my old phone and they have now stopped.
Everything else went very smoothly. I used the wireless phones next to each other method as that usually works for me. E-sim activation was a doddle, requested the new sim via Smarty App and email arrived instantly.
Just waiting on restore to complete then I'm all done and fully up and running 😃

I could have both...but really do not need two devices in anyway! so will have to decide on one in store
