Apparently that is the rumour. It sounds like these are a stopgap. It’s the same way there’s rumoured to be a new iPad mini already with the A19.

A lot of those going around and is too soon for another APP to launch a year later, I’ll hold my breath on that.

Seeing the videos, and the 2-tone isn't working for me. It just looks off and the Orange which i was planning to get makes it worse.

And unfortunately i don't use cases so it'll bug me.

Actually think i'm gonna go for the base 17 this year which is surprising to me

I’ve been very clear that I will not be upgrading my iPhone 16 this year.

In unrelated news, I have (pre-) pre-ordered the iPhone Air in white, via BPF. And I’ve ordered the MagSafe Battery.

I think the white Air looks absolutely stunning. My 16 is black (and I have a 13 mini in black, and MacBook Air in black).

I gain: larger screen, pro motion, always on, more storage, better front camera (I do a lot of video calls), marginally less weight, battery life (especially with MagSafe)

I lose: 0.5x zoom, stereo speakers, money

There are tons of other brands offering clear cases… it’s really not a big deal.

Honestly, in the last decade I’ve yet to find another one that doesn’t pick up the colour of my hair within 2 months 🫠 I don’t know what magic apple does with them 😆
