The thing to remember is it can ship at any time. I remember one year mine not changing to dispatched until 23:00 the night before. They're pretty much already in distribution points in the UK as we speak

I built a small tent in my front garden facing the house entrance, I will have my tea and coffee and snacks ready as well.
Nice part about Friday, it will be a warm day, have a small picnic and bbq maybe.
I pre ordered my 17 Pro 5 days ago from Currys, it still says we are expecting stock of your order shortly. They are still taking orders for the 17 Pro and still saying free delivery on 19 September.

Was initially set on the Air but the hype is wearing off before it has even arrived!
The battery doesn't appear to be as bad as feared, but I learned today that the camera sensor is the same as the one in the standard iPhone 15... for some reason I assumed the single camera on the Air would be the same as the wide lens on the 17 Pro.
Combined with the screen being smaller than the Max size I've become accustomed to, and the single speaker, I am feeling it is not the right choice.
(I do find myself playing podcasts or even music from the phone a surprising amount - after all while it isn't the best speaker, the waterproofness of the phone makes it ideal for playing music/podcasts while in the shower etc.)

Did you order it? Just exchange it for a Pro Max if you don’t like it in the first few days. That’s my plan!

Weirdly I’m in a very strange situation at the moment in that I’m actually living in a different flat in my block (my landlord also owns this one) temporarily while repairs are done.
There was a catastrophic leak and structural damage (which has been really fun for me and my life for months, and has not in any way caused a form of psychiatric collapse) so I’m in a similar-ish boat in so far as I’ll be waiting downstairs by my (building site) flat to take the delivery as it had to be delivered to my billing address.
The AirPods Pro, however, are coming to the temporary flat.
So that’s fun. I’d rather be at your BBQ.

To be honest Currys are one of the places I avoid like the plague. Hope it’s different for you though 🙂
I've just searched through the iPhone 16 UK pre release order thread and the general consensus of opinion is that they're not as bad as their reputation would suggest, still, thanks for the reply.
I ordered a Switch 2 from them earlier this year and had a flawless experience.
Yeah, I've ordered from them numerous times and its always been flawless, although all have been in stock items. I was just curious what experience people had of pre order items. Tomorrow will tell. Thanks for the info.
