Instead of being out in the sunshine I've been sidetracked into reading about tube systems,Moscow is pretty groovy. I like this:On all lines, travellers can determine the direction of the train by the gender of the announcer: on the ring line, a male voice indicates clockwise travel, and a female voice counter-clockwise.

I'm also impressed that London has a Moscow stylee tube station Gants Hill (part of London I can't recall ever being in )

I must admit, after seeing some of London's grotty stations, seeing chandeliers dangling from the ceiling of some of Moscow's stations was certainly different :)
 
Never really experienced one of these strikes before, will it be all staff striking?

East Midlands Trains is having some union trouble lately, their drivers are refusing to do Sunday working.
