oooooh. 25th's starting to come through now then...

Just got a status change this morning on my 2.3/256/16 - ordered 25th June with 24-30/7 estimate, now preparing for shipment

Interesting. I ordered then as well, 2.6/16/256. with the same prediction of 24-30/7. That is good news for you. Gives me some hope for changes soon, and also makes sense with the new 2-3 weeks shipping forecast on all new orders.....

Your MBP just like mine has to travel up to Apple to be merged.

if we are lucky we will get shipping numbers today and delivery tomorrow but there is absolutely no chance of you getting it today so go out!

I sure I speak for everyone here when I say - WE don't NEED to have our gift cards merged!!!!

Post them separately or even email them but what they are doing is a huge waste of money, and fuel and bad for the environment having to drive all our MacBooks for Birmingham from London to add a piece of cardboard then have another courier come and bring them back down (if you live in the south).

It's stupid, expensive and bad for the environment. Just email it to us.

Can somebody just explain why with all the equipment they have in china to build these machines and the cheap labour... Why can't they have a guy or machine that just shoves an iTunes card in when they seal the box in the first place surely it must be cheaper

It's strange, but I have a UPS number (it's done nothing since yesterday, still in Germany) but no number I can use with expo.expediators.com. It really seems to be one or the other...why is that?

No. It's delivery to Apple so they can put a gift card in the box then get UPS to collect it.

It seems that if you have a UPS number it is coming straight to you directly. If you have an expo number (or in other words no courier assigned) it is going to be merged first then sent out.

Your lucky by the way - you may well get your MBP tomorrow if Apple send it straight back out of course.

Nuff said. The whole delivery time lowering to 2-3 weeks, is definitely now filtering through to positively impacting existing orders.

Ordered on 19th June, estimated delivery 19th to 26th July. Looking likely to be 19th/20th, once it merges with the gift card and gets to the final courier.

Given its been in heathrow since Saturday I doubt it will arrive before the new year!!!

Been out for delivery since 11:41am GMT with Goldstar and expeditors has still not updated to confirm it has arrived at the distribution centre. My hopes of having my MBPR merged and handed to UPS by Monday night are slowly ebbing away .

Looks like a Wednesday delivery now..

Edit: It seems two posters above me are sharing the same lorry to Apple's distribution centre

I've been refreshing the Expeditors page multiple times since noticing it changed to Out for Delivery. Last bit of information still says:

I'm in the same truck so to speak it may have been delivered and just not updates but I think it asks for unrealistic efficiency to expect them to get the MBPs and stick a card inside and reship them to UPS today.

Although technically I don't see why they can't.

No. It's delivery to Apple so they can put a gift card in the box then get UPS to collect it.

They don't put it in the same box. I ordered a MagSafe to MagSafe2 adaptor with mine. It went to the merge centre...and got sent out as two packages; the MBP in the box it arrived from China in with a UPS label stuck over the one from China, and the MagSafe adaptor in a separate Jiffy Bag - not even taped to the box. I had two UPS tracking numbers, one for the MBP the other for the adaptor.

I've been busy over the weekend with work, shopping.. building my new furniture etc.. but my 2.3ghz/16gb/256gb ordered on the 21ST with EDU discount moved upto processing for shipment yesterday.. hopefully shipped by the end of today?

Just like everyone else it has to go to Apple in the UK FIRST to merge before you get a tracking number so realistically your looking at Thursday at best.

Can you please share what was your original estimated delivery date ?

rMBP 2.6/16/512 edu. Ordered on the 25th June. Preparing for shipping on 16th of July. It was originally forecast for delivery between the 24th July till the 30th, and I reckon it will probably arrive on the 24th/25th possibly 23rd if I am really lucky.
