What are you actually saying in your complaint? 'O2 are selling the new iPhone too expensive for my liking'?

The 'unlimited data' and charging for tethering is pretty annoying, but to be fair you could use a massive amounts of bandwidth downloading to your computer, and when they first promised 'unlimited data' it was clearly just for use within the iPhone, it's still reasonable to assume that’s what they mean.

I'm annoyed/disappointed by it, but I'm not sure it's reasonable grounds to complain to ofcomm?

Im sorry but I disagree with you on this.

One of the main selling points for the iphone was the unlimited data package, as far as I was concerned.

I see the new unreasonable charges of £15 for 3 gig on top of whatever your monthly charges may have a point with ofcom regarding the misleading wording of the original "unlimited" data contract.

It is o2 simply misleading the customer regarding the terms of a unlimited data contract.

As far as your point regarding the massive potential for downloading ... o2 have always had ( and still do have )a fair usage policy so that could limit any excessive downloading over a tethered device.. simples

Please all those wanting a special upgrade deal for exisiting iPhone customers stop moaning.

This is not like the first iPhone where you buy the phone outright, this is just like all other contract phones. You sign up for a 18 month contract and after that 18 month then yoy can upgrade and get a new phone.

Why should the iPhone be different...just because it is Apple well guess what it ain't so deal with it.

You want the latest iPhone then yoy gonna have to pay for it.

Well the subsidy O2 paid for my iPhone would be a certain % of each monthly payment, of which I've paid 12 / 18. I think it would be fair if I signed a new contract, bought the new iPhone at the subsidised price, plus the remaining 6 months worth of the original subsidy.
Instead, as far as I can tell, my only option is buy out my contract at 6 * £35/m, £210! Paying for all the remaining months of calls/texts/data that I haven't yet had the chance to use, then paying again for those months with my new contract.

Apple sell a new iPhone, O2 get a longer contract with me and don't lose anything on their original subsidy, I get a new iPhone!

I don't think this should be special Apple treatment, just a fairer way of doing upgrades for any customer.

Well you may have a point, I'd be interested to hear ofcomm's answer to that complaint anyway, I can see why they might uphold it.

The price is pretty extortionate anyway, their unlimited data bolton for non-iPhone customers is only £7.34. And I'm sure that was cheaper last time I looked, like 4 or 5.99, have O2 upped their data prices?!

I read somewhere that iPhone's made up %40 of ALL mobile Internet use, that must take a toll on O2's network with them handling more than their market share's worth.

Even if you take just the pricing issue and forget the upgrades - A 16GB iPhone 3GS is MORE expensive than the cost of a 16GB iPhone 3G one year ago. And the iPhone 3G 8GB has remained the same price for over a year, despite it being halved in the US.

What happened to bumping the hard drive/ flash space but keeping the price points the same?

Has any one else noticed the o2 suck ups starting from big_malk!!!!
Bunch of corporate Douche bags trying to sell how genius they are...
I am not even going to get into tethering but disabling phone features and commitmens they are trying to tie us with is just SICK!!!
I might consider the possibility of buying the iPhone3G s from France or other country so I can use other service provider...

Could you tell me where between saying their prices are extortionate and that there should be an early upgrade option I sucked up?
