I've had a look but can't find anything, do new business contracts no longer get an upgrade every 12 months?

Made the change this morning - for my £25 a month, I ditched unlimited texts down to 500 (that's 400 more than I ever send a month), kept my minutes, added a 1GB data bolt on (which I can lower to 500 to save £4, if I don't need it in the future), and enabled tethering support (for my iPad). So I haven't lost anything, got 500 megs a month more, and it's given my iPad a new lease of life on the road. I doubt ill bother with a 3G model in the future. All in all a good deal for me.

GiffGaff had much better value for customers. £15 gets you 400mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet....plus it runs on the O2 network,,,,I ve been using it for several months and its amazing not having to pay £35/£40 every month for less with O2........plus the customer service is fantastic, due to the community of members who help each other out....

That's a good deal if you don't mind paying up front for the handset.

These new tariffs are good news for some of us who are part way through our contracts and can now save a few quid a month. :)

Definitely, dropped mine yesterday. I find i don't use as many minutes or data as i used to. Especially now we have wifi at work. The saving is more than welcome :D

It's a ripoff,

At the moment I'm on a 12month simplicity contract which gives me
300 mins 500mb and unlimited text £15

If I want a contract the same as my old contract which would give me tethering weather I want it or not it would cost me £21.50p rolling 1 month contract.
300 mins 500mb and unlimited text

If I wanted to go for a 12 month it would still cost me £21.50p but I would get 600 mins 500mb and unlimited txt.

Unless I can negotiate a deal I will leave O2 and go with a provider that doesn't charge extra for tethering.

I looked at the equivalent THREE deal:-

£15
300 any network minutes
3000 texts
1GB internet - tethering included
1 month rolling contract

if I went for a 12 month contract I could get above deal for £10

£20pm
30 Day Contract
600 mins

Unlimited Data

Yeah, the simplicity rates have gone up quite a lot - the nearest equivalent to that - 600 mins, Unlimited texts and 500mb data (they haven't offered unlimited data for a while) is £26.50 now on a 30 day contract.
Not much incentive there for people grandfathered into the original simplicity contracts to change!

Currently on

100 minutes, 500 texts (i think might be unlimited) and unlimited internet for £25 (ish - it went up slightly with the Vat increase)

Called them and got the following

£15.50 rate: 100 minutes, 500 text + £6 bolt on for 500mb internet (I rarely go over 200mb)

Couldn't find this deal on the website though, but it's just a tariff change so maybe that's why. I'm not overly bothered about losing unlimited internet as I was planning on leaving 02 in June when my contract is up.

I rang o2 today as I'm am able to upgrade my tariff today, they would not budge on any of the o2 new tariffs so I'm moving to three

So true! i suppose the only thing that will get people to change is if they really want tethering or a discount when upgrading to a new iPhone.

I'll stick to buying them outright for now, my wife always wants my older phone anyway!
