UK order updated today 21st to SHIPPED!!

I'm home and syncing mine as I type.

First thing the gf said when she saw the wallpaper was "there's a scratch on the screen" - I think Apple might have goofed with there choice of default wallpaper as so many people have made similar comments.
 
Anyone still waiting for UPS? This is ridiculous! Don't tell me its out for delivery and not deliver in a timely fashion! At least send out more vehicles to deal with the extra load.
 
What a glorious day!

Woke ut at 5am ready for work, thought id check the tracker, said 'out for delivery'. So at 12:15 (my lunch break) I rang TNT and asked if I could pick it up but they told me they tried to deliver at 10am but no one was in. Went and got straight after work. Its so beautiful!

I guess that means tomorrow

Snap - both to the Syncing and to the Scratch!

Its so exciting - should I take it down to the queue outside the Apple Store - or would that be gloating. On second thoughts I'd probably get mugged.

I had that but for Belfast depot... so i called the depot, I can collect it between 8 and 9 tonight! 😀

I'm seriously annoyed at UPS, which couldn't seem to manage delivering something today from acorss the Irish sea, when TNT managed it from Hong Kong! Yes, I know I've said this before... but it feels like I'm missing out on the excitement of launch day, even though it's tomorrow, it looks like everyone bar a few will have theirs by then 🙁
 
wow tnt is awfull …*my ipad whas on "out for delivery" since this morning and i whas waiting all the time but NOTHING …*called apple and they said "yeha yeha tomorrow" what the **** … 😡😡😡

No scratches, but my 64GB 3G does have a large speck of dust under the glass😡😡😡

Didn't spot until I started to use Mail, and it now stands out like a sore thumb against a white background. I thought it was a couple of adjacent dead pixels at first, but under a magnifying glass it looks like a whisker from an electric razor !

Anyway, phoned Apple and they will replace it. TNT/UPS to collect and a replacement to be shipped - I asked how long this would take given the UK store now says delivery in June and I was told my replacement would be a 'priority'. At least I will have it to play with over the Bank Holiday weekend.

+1 I agree with everything above.

I am genuinely 100% happy for everyone who got their iPads early today, it's awesome news..... But this whole iPad release has been a right royal cluster****. I can't say that I am a satisfied customer. The bottom line is that nobody likes to feel like they aren't being treated equally, and it's hard not to feel that way when I ordered the moment that ordering went live.... but I still don't have an iPad. Oh well, it's only one more day.
 
Just spoke to TNT, apparently my iPad is back at the depot (Croydon) and being loaded on to another truck for evening delivery to SW4

Has anyone bothered to install a screen protector? I got the proporta one and it's terrible. Don,t know if I should take it off

to be honest, why email apple?

at the end of the day, they said tomorrow delivery, today is a bonus...

the tracking has been pathetic to be fair but i think its more of a case of apple releasing the tracking info too early for the couriers systems..

i just genuinely dont see the point in emailing and moaning at apple?
