UK order updated today 21st to SHIPPED!!

Just spoken with UPS - although mine says 'In Transit' and the last status update was when it left Tamworth at 23:22, it's actually out for delivery!

Who's having it delivered at work but don't want people to see otherwise they will mark the whole screen with filthy fingerprints?! lol
 
Fire alarms, alarm clocks, police sirens are all a distant sound to that compared of a diesel truck on delivery day.

I swear I can hear every diesel engine in a 5 mile radius. Why don't these things have GPS tracking on them !

If you don't mind me asking, what telephone number did you use to contact UPS? I want to give them a call too, see if I need to get someone to stay glued to our front window at home, lol.
 
Been using the Dashboard tracker, but just thought I would check in with the TNT website. There is more info there - it arrived at the depot at 2.47am and went to Out For Delivery at 7.19am!
 
BTW we are lucky in the UK that we are getting it 1 day early I don't think any of the other countries are getting it early I checked out Australia and not a sign of any of them getting one! So good thing so many of us ordered to force Apple to release 1 day early 😀

Off the web site - 08457-877-877 do the automated tracking option then she gives you an option to transfer to a human!
 
For info (for TNT-types) checking the international deliveries with the reference number, I'm getting:

27 May 2010 03:30:11 Leeds Shipment Received At Destination Depot.
27 May 2010 00:50:26 Leeds Shipment Received At Destination Depot.
26 May 2010 22:01:59 Northampton Hub Shipment In Transit.
26 May 2010 20:43:00 KG4 Shipment Received At Transit Point.

...but checking the UK deliveries with the consignment number, I'm getting:

27/05/2010 07:51 LEEDS Out for delivery
27/05/2010 00:50 LEEDS At delivery depot

WOOHOO! Same here, just changed on the TNT UK site from Please Call to Out for Delivery, and same now on the TNT International site too. From Enfield. And in case anyone is interested and in similar position i was a "TNT UK - Nuneaton" person yesterday. Today, hopefully an iPad owner.

Me! I've already had a host of desk-callers asking when it's coming. I'm sure they'll be round like a shot when they see me coming back from reception with a package!

It's got a screen cover on though, I think....which is going to stay on until I can locate a Power Support Crystal Film for my beauty!

Me and the wife love scrabble so that's an essential purchase.

Funny thing is that i have developed 4 apps for the device that have been on sale since US launch but i haven't yet been able to use them myself hahaha.

Mines out for delivery!

This is a great feeling. I've agonised since January, following threads like this one and watching the hysteria over the US launch come and go, at a time when we didn't even have a price or launch date, and after all that, on this Thursday at the end of May, my iPad is currently sat in the bank of a little brown UPS truck driving around Sheffield.. 🙂
 
Someone really needs to invent a way for us customers to get blow by blow coverage of where one's delivery is. Mine has been Out for Delivery for three hours now which just isn't good enough! I want coordinates and updates every three minutes and the itinerary! 😉
 
For anyone who's still waiting for their status' to update, give TNT a call (if your with TNT) - they are nice people.

0800100600 - It's a freephone as well, what more can you ask for.
My status just updated to Received at Destination Depot although it said Out for Delivery at 5.30 today, so they will re-confirm it for you.

Another Croydon depot here - also out for delivery. Last thing I had delivered by TNT came a shade before 5, and I'm relying on that again as I've a busy morning at work... but I will be arranging to work from home this afternoon 😀
 
UPs says out for delivery in Eastleigh, Hants Apple still says it arrived two days ago, doh!

Still as long as it turns up by tomorrow, not too worried 🙂

Why don't you call TNT/UPS get your delivery mans number and tell him to text you with updates 😛 or maybe not you wouldn't want him having an accident and delaying your ipad lol
