Is there a link to it? Or anything I can search for in the App Store?

Not that I have. The only people who have been sent the link are the Isle of Wight residents who are trialling the app. The BBC says “while in theory there is nothing to prevent the details being shared and used by others elsewhere, NHSX hopes this will not happen as it could confuse the feedback it receives” - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-52532435 .

Easy — you either have official application installed and running and ready to show its screen on demand or self-isolate at home. If you stay at home you don't need to install this application. The choice is yours.
You may be the only person to install it. You and the tracking app deserve each other.

An absurd assumption and pointless comment. Keep checking on the progress and take note of how puerile and irrelevant your comments and measure the contempt held specially for your sort.

How can anyone? For it to work everyone would need to have the app and they won't. It's a waste of time.
Wrong; not everyone, just a majority. Wrong; they will. There are selfish bastards around but less than you'd think when looking in the mirror.

The majority won't install it.

And what about those without a smartphone?
Are you really so conceited to believe you are the only one who realises not everyone possesses a smartphone? Perhaps you could get an adult to, not only explain the technical side in FULL detail, but also the wider considerations for life, death and society in general. Choose an older family member or someone you can trust who has limitless patience.

Well UK surveys indicate 80% will install it, so we’ll see. NHSx say benefits will be achieved if 20%+ install it and it will work optimally with >50% installs. As for those without a smartphone, well I’d argue that is likely to demographically the “oldest” in our society and are already being shielded as part of the response.

Fortunately for you, most of our society think beyond themselves (or perhaps just have the ability to think) and you might actually be a beneficiary; though of course, you wouldn’t appreciate that fact.

It’s rather sad that someone of your age (41?) has grown up so entitled and does not appreciate “nothing works” without the help and consideration of and by others.

You're making a lot of assumptions about me. I'm simply saying the app won't work because it's dependant on a large proportion of the population installing it. The app has already been ridiculed for it being able to give out false information. It's clearly being rushed out before it's ready. Have a read, I picked the first two links but there's dozens to choose from:

A few major concerns too:

NHS The NHS centralised app relies on the Government controlling a database with all of the UK’s data inside, raising privacy concerns over the use of the data.

Apple and Google The decentralised database blocks the use of location data, preventing governments from knowing where outbreaks are happening.

Also, UK surveys said Brexit wouldn't happen. Surveys said Trump wouldn't win so you can trust surveys if you like, but at some point you will have to face reality and stop buying into propaganda.

You're also completely out of touch if you think the elderly are being shielded. Some are, but those who need to look after and shop for themselves have to go out. I see it every single day.

You need to get in the real world and see what's happening as you currently sound like someone who gets all their information from the BBC & Guardian newspaper.

I am not entitled, just realist. The handling of the situation by the Government has been calamitous and that's being kind. You then expect them to imminently deliver an app to the nation that's not been well thought out, rushed & not tested properly? Ok mate.
