Not the same. I do occasionally upgrade every other product. Not because I need but because I want to and I can.ok so it is the same as with almost any product: you don’t need to upgrade every other generation.

In Italy HomePods are not available
But if you click on 'add to cart' you can buy one.
The English ones are old text, the Italian ones are newly written.
Shocking, Argos has a website for many years -Argos.co.ukLooks like someone hit the button too early. And it isn't uncommon for shops too get stock of these things even a week in advance so they can have them shelved for day one release. What is a shame is that Argos was so close to having become the UK's Amazon before Amazon existed but they wanted to stick to retail stores and physical catalogues.
CancelI would have loved to have known this 2 hours ago when I ordered from Apple with an estimated delivery date of the 7th June.
Argos seem to have clocked on now and no longer offer same day delivery or pick up until Tuesday.
It just shows that, if you actually try going ahead with ordering it for collection or delivery you’ll get an error.Update: still available to order and pick up same day from Argos.
No you can’t actually buy it, you’ll get an error “We’ve had a technical glitch and this page won’t load”But if you click on 'add to cart' you can buy one.
I don’t understand… when I try delivery or collection (doesn’t matter which) the website just reloads or takes me to an error page. I live in South London.Just ordered online for delivery between 2 and 6 today. Nothing available for collection.
Rossendale valley.
Interestingly on the back there’s a picture of the full size HomePod. Makes me think it’s not as ‘discontinued’ as previously mentioned.
Seems more like a marketing ploy. I’ve gone to retailers here in the US for Apple products. Besides the Apple store. And they all have said they can’t sell me that product until “launch day”. That is the agreement they have with Apple. Even if they have a ton in the back ready to sell. The agreement is always can’t release it till whatever arbitrary day Apple decides to launch that product. Some of the retailers wish this wasn’t so. Cause they say it would make things easier for the employees if they didn’t have to do that. Cause of how hectic it can get.I don't understand what is the actual problem when retailers sell the goods they have in stock.
IMHO no vendor should have powers to control the sales of goods outside of their retail network. All of this, as well as similar prices, suggests there might be some agreements between vendors and resellers. As a consumer, I'd like regulation authorities to ban/look into these...
Every other generation means every second generation. Also dont need to do that, but more sensible than every generation.ok so it is the same as with almost any product: you don’t need to upgrade every other generation.

If they’ve got it, they should be able to sell it IMO. It’s not like this is a product that is going to have immense demand in the UK and have people queuing around the block lol.
Sounds like someone needs to go take business economics 101 class again.I don't understand what is the actual problem when retailers sell the goods they have in stock.
