about £50 a year

I've been with them since July last year, costs me £5.88 a month so it works out a little over £70 for the year.

I have no idea what they're like at paying out because I've never had to make a claim, but last year I did a little Googling before I took cover and could find no negative comments; might be worth another Google come to think of it!

@redrog: O2 & Apple have been shrewd enough to block Pay & Go Sims and Simplicity tariffs from using the 3G S's full range of functions. You are bound to opt for a special tariff for the new iPhone in order to get the full use of items such as tethering (bolt on), MMS and data. I believe it will only act as a phone.

Is that really true? I have pay and go with the iphone wifi/data bolton and the only feature I can't have is the visual voicemail. This is an old 2g iphone. Have they changed things with the GS?

If you don't want to change to an iPhone tariff or are unable to change because you're on a 12 or 24 month contract, then provided you are on one of our current tariffs you can opt to add the Unlimited Web Bolt On and Unlimited Wi-Fi Bolt On to your account.

You won’t have full functionality of all iPhone features such as Visual Voicemail and Call Merging. You should contact customer service to switch your MMS notifications on, otherwise you will not get any notification that you've been sent an MMS.

To add any Bolt Ons please use this Add Bolt On form below.

Sounds interesting will check them out.

I called O2 and asked about PAYG Iphone with Simplicity SIM and they confirmed they will NOT be able to insure the handset as it doesn't have a PAYG SIM in it... bad news :(
