That's what I was getting ready to do, but I had read of some folks getting a black screen and I didn't want to screw myself and have no MP. 😱Can't you just install 10.6.0, download 10.6.3 install it and then install QECI?
I've had no issues doing the above, the computer works without QECI, just a lot of things don't. You should still be able to install the combo update, though.
That's why I was asking for a procedure on how to get from Leo to SL--including if you have a problem.
I'm guessing it goes like this:
1. install SL, reboot
1a. after reboot, if you have a black screen or other problem, boot to safe mode and run Zeus/QECI.
1b. if that fixes the problem, go to #2...if not, go to 1c.
1c. ????, then scream, then faint
2. install the combo update for 10.6.3, reboot
2a. same as 1a.
2b. same as 1b.
3. hopefully you're running 10.6.3 with no problems
