Just got to try on the Ultra. I'm not certain about the size of it. Does it look too big on my wrist? Thank you

I agree with you of course. I'm not sure
I assume you are responding to my post - rather than asking strangers on the internet ask someone whom you interact with frequently and/or who’s opinion you value…
If you buy from Apple, you can return it within 14 days, at least in the US…
And if you feel like it, read the thread in the sticky section “returning the Ultra”.
BTW, I got the U when it was first released and traded it I. For the U2, so I’m biased

Apple Stores in Ireland are called 'Select'. Would you believe that store would not allow me to try on the Ultra. Anyway I am in the UK now so could try it on. However, my girlfriend whose opinion I always ask on these things is not with me Guess I could send her photo to ask. Appreciate all advice and help, thank you

No it doesn't.

For me, there were a few decades where I didn't wear any sort of watch cos my iPhone did everything. It took time getting used to wearing an Apple Watch. I have the big Series 8 now. After a few weeks you get used to it.

If you look at the high-end regular men's watches, they're all that big these days.

Looks big on everyone imo, unless you’re diving or doing outdoorsy activities. You look like you have a pretty burly wrist, so if it suited anyone it would be you. If you like it, get it.

If you’re looking for fashion advice, idk they seem really big, but that’s just my opinion.

It looks fine on you with the ocean band but a little unbalanced with the alpine band.
When I had my U2 I mainly wore it with ocean bands and leather link bands. It was borderline large on me but it looked better when I wore bands without lugs.

yes it's a chunky watch. I always thought I had small wrists. I think they're 6.5 inches, I can't remember

As a watch enthusiast, a 6.5in is not small and more inline with medium to medium+.

Someone alluded to it earlier but the lugs that extend out play a crucial part as well. The black band makes the watch look poorly on the wrist while the orange wraps around much better.

I don't think its too big for your wrist. Just please avoid strangulating your wrist and keep it below your wrist bone. If you need a snug fit, I recommend opening your hand, spread your fingers wide, then do a slightly snug strap with the velcro, this slightly expands your wrist right before cinching it closed.

All that matters is whether or not YOU like it or not…
The "All that matters is whether or not YOU like it or not" response is overly simplistic. Think instead.

I might like vertical clothing stripes, but all my friends and coworkers may observe that vertically striped clothing make me look thin and anemic. My asking for fashion advice may help lead me to clothing choices that better complement my body type.

I might like horizontal clothing stripes, but all my friends and coworkers may observe that horizontally striped clothing makes me look too chubby. My asking for fashion advice may help lead me to clothing choices that better complement my body type.

Same for choice of watch style.

That said, for me personally the AW Ultra is a tool only, so how it might look matters zero. And to me the OP's watch looks fine, but I am obviously not a person to come to for fashion advice.
