They'll just think you are a former naval aviator. Surface guys wear the black shoes.I wear navy trousers and brown brogues nearly everyday to work. I had no idea some people didn’t agree with it lol.

Hey @CyberDavis - you have any idea what size wrist the band fits? i asked a question on their site when I saw this and haven't heard back. Seems you can state you need a certain size but it's just weird to me they don't say.
Thanks!
Tom
Ha! There’s NO WAY I’m ever wearing an orange ocean band with a suit. Buy hey, you do you😃Again IMO. Let the AWU be true to itself. Wear it on one the Apple Ultra bands.
The polish looks nice. This was the exact reason I polished mine. I didn't think the matte color with the orange looked well when dressing nice. Doesn't mean you can't wear it as is, I just wanted it to look a little more refined. View attachment 2314200
I would, lol. And I would accent with a matching orange tie or pocket square.Ha! There’s NO WAY I’m ever wearing an orange ocean band with a suit. Buy hey, you do you😃

I have to laugh at how some are so sensitive to things like this. Seems insecurity is rampant!
Someone said that? I wouldn't fire someone for checking the time in a meeting. Hell, I run my meetings and manage the people in them and even I check the time on myself! My favourite was the AOD argument - that it was required because otherwise you could get fired for checking the time in a meeting.
Seems like a very nice place to work, if you get fired by checking the time 🤣 I check the time myself a lot - especially now with many days having back-to-back meetings way too often (should not be allowed!)Someone said that? And I would never think wearing an aluminum watch model, an Ultra or even something like a FitBit with a suit or other formal office wear to be inappropriate. That I know people have also said.
Maybe if I were wearing a tuxedo and attending a State dinner with the president of France or something, I might think twice about wearing a FitBit with a rubber watchband or an Apple Watch with a Nike band, but I'd still wear my Apple Watch Ultra with a link bracelet or something similar (plus a simple, classy watchface).
My take - FWIW:
The Apple Watch Ultra looks fine with a suit. These days very few people wear mechanical watches. Those that wear them with suits rarely wear dress watches - a Rolex Datejust or Oyster Perpetual is not a dress watch.
Rolex Submariners are commonly worn with suits - the Sub, even today, is a tool watch. Just like the AWU.
Other mechanicals commonly worn with suits include Panerai, Speedmasters, Planet Oceans and Breitling pilots watches. All large tool watches.
You also often see Garmin and other fitness watches worn with suits. Anything goes these days.
Oh, and IMO, if you attempt to "dress up" an AWU by putting it on a leather strap then you just make the contrast between your overall formal attire and your watch even greater. It doesn't even make the watch look good - it looks silly. Again IMO. Let the AWU be true to itself. Wear it on one the Apple Ultra bands.
If you really care about formality then wear a proper dress watch - three hands, thin and small case on matching leather.
Below is a dress watch next to an AWU. If you care about formality then you're wearing something like the watch on the left. Otherwise whatevs.
You forgot birthday suit, lolDepends on the kind of suit. What are we talking here; morning, penguin, track, shell, jump, gimp?
For the latter, I'd go with the lower profile standard Apple watch, as it'll be a bugger to stretch the rubber over the Ultra.
I've worn this exact combo. 👍
