I could never be a vegetarian.
OMG!

I was veggie for about 3 years, started back on meat, and now I am looking to go back to eating all veggie. I felt better then and my skin looked better.

I actually felt better and was healthier when I began eating meat again!

I remember when I went vegetarian for a time and I found that I didn't feel as good as I did when I ate meat. I just felt a whole lot better and more energetic when I had the meat in me. But I'm tempted to go back to vegetarian again just because I'm getting sick of meat. I'll still eat cheese and the like, but meat is getting old.

I dont know what it is, but it makes me feel heavy and sluggish after I eat. Maybe I should just stick to seafood? I dont know but I dont like that feeling, plus meat doesnt taste all that great to me. Im just a picky eater.

Or switching to canned Tuna every day since you like seafood. After all, every can of Tuna has more nutritious mercury than your body needs in a year. :D

stopping after the third pound might help there.... ;)
:D

LMAO!

Noooo! I dont eat that much, it only takes a small amount of meat to make me slow down. Fish doesnt seem to have the same affect.

I agree with everyone else that suggested that you start out light and small before eating a steak, but don't start with a salad with meat. Maybe try buying a "small" steak at the supermarket, eating like half of this small steak (cook it if you want) before going out to a restaurant and ordering the motherload, 72 oz steak challenge at your new favourite steakhouse.

Just a thought if these are cravings you are getting; could it be that you're missing a few nutrients in your diet recently so your body is craving them - ie protein/fat? Have you changed your veggie diet recently?

I was thinking the same thing.

I also thought about becoming a vegetarian, but I think it would be better if I just cut down on the meat rather than stop eating it altogether. I can give up chicken and pork, but I couldn't enjoy life without steak. :)

I was veggie for 8 years (including 10 months as a vegan). When I switched back to meat I had 3 McDonalds Double Cheese Burgers!:D

I had not trouble switching back and I went full-on carnivore for a month or so!!!!

Do MacDonalds burgers qualify as meat? :D

Haha wow... I like meat as much as the next guy, but I could never make myself take a bite of that. :p

Bacon is maybe not the best thing to start back on. Too much fat. I often have bacon, scrambled eggs and toast at 7am and, as much as it's the perfect meal to start off the day, I can taste the grease. How about trying boiled meat? Shabu shabu?.

find your closest deer hunter and beg for a steak...very lean...good for you.

i could never, ever, in a million years go veggie. good for you for thinking of coming back to the light side :)

Brain food...

As others have said, start slowly... no more than a can or two per day.

I know people eat brains, but do people really eat them from cans? I suppose it's not different to canned pork or something, but it strikes me as the kind of think you'd want to eat fresh. Mmm, fresh brains. :p

Haha, I'd hope that they would cook them. But I guess you never know. There are probably some sick sick people out there eating fresh brains from a can.

go ahead and start eating meat again, just keep track of your health stats like cholesterol and your weight et-cetera and see how things change. you'll probably drop the meat pretty quick.

Wow, if I ever feel a need to validate why I'm vegan to myself, I'll just come back to this thread and look at the pork brains. Or that burger photo. Sheesh, people eat that stuff?
