Updated my iPhone just fine, but I'm getting this error on my iPad mini. Ugh.

Yup, I still have this error the day after beta 3 was released for my iPad mini.

Anyone have success with the iPad mini yet?

Not going to bother trying to test it on my iPhone 4, beta 1 bogged it down too much.

Erase All Contents and Settings worked.

For those having difficulty with OTA iOS 7 Beta 3 upgrades, here's what worked:

Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings

Make sure you have an up to date iCloud backup or backup to iTunes before attempting.

Here's what didn't work:
1. Turning on/off wifi in numerous ways
2. Turning on/off Airplane mode
3. Hard Resets
4. Soft resets
5. Reseting network settings

Hope this helps those who are having problems. After resetting all contents and settings, the Beta 3 OTA software update successfully initialized and completed.

Will give this a shot when I get home tonight, thanks for the tip.

What do you mean by that exactly? And why?

because you will end up with the message that "this device is not registered in the developers programme" or whatever it said, followed by some frantic restoring to 6.1.4

Well thanks to this post I am now beta 3!! Thanks a bunch this method worked flawlessly

I was able to successfully force the beta 3 OTA to appear.

I was able to force the beta 3 OTA to appear after unsuccessfully trying several ways to get my iPad 3 to upgrade via OTA.

I used the following method:

  • Backup (I used an iCloud backup)
  • Enter DFU mode
  • Restore to iOS 6 via iTunes
  • After iOS 6 has restored hold down option and clicked Check for Update
  • Selected the version of iOS 7 beta 2 for my iPad
  • Activated on the iPad and entered my iCloud login and selected the most recent backup... wait
  • Immediately after the restore (while all the icons are still downloading from iCloud) I went to Settings
  • Success, Software Update displays iOS 7 beta 3 OTA!

Yep - try another time ;)

I can tell you from experience simply trying again will do nothing for some devices. After repeated checking at different times of the day the OTA would not appear. Only the steps I quoted above allowed the OTA to appear.

This maybe hit or miss as my iPhone 5 allowed me to perform an OTA update to beta 3 on the very first day of release with no issues.
