I am unable to DM anyone on the forum. Is that related to time on or number of posts or ...?

It's most likely the recipient has the option for private conversations turned off.

I see. Yea I compared 2 users and I guess 1 has DM turned off.

I've had a number of users say they were unable to PM me. I'm not sure if that's a result of user error or not.

I've had a number of users say they were unable to PM me. I'm not sure if that's a result of user error or not.

Newer members have to have a certain number of posts in order to PM. Not sure what the issue could be if they're an older member with many posts.
