More Uncharted can only be good for 2009. I'm hoping they give me more platforming and less gunplay this time around. The snowy setting could be really interesting with the ice affecting gameplay. Looking forward to it. Bless
Well, I did hear about some "free climbing mechanic and stealth gameplay". http://kotaku.com/5100596/first-uncharted-2-details-from-game-informer
ZOMG! Uncharted is one of the best games so far this generation, imo. The story is great, the voice acting is perfect (im looking at you Gears of War....), the game is beautiful, the mechanics are perfect.... !!!!1 AHHHH!!! Cant wait for this! I have no worries about this game at all. NaughtyDog has shown us over and over again that they know how to make great games. I have yet to play a game from them that was below par by any means.
What 5 minutes exploration, 25 minutes shooting the same repetitious pirates or zombies over and over again, followed by 5 minutes of exploration and 25 minutes of........ ad infinitum. Personally I thought the gameplay mechanics were sound but it's level and gameplay structures was utterly unbalanced. I hope we get more exploration and adventuring in the sequel, and less of the Gears of War copy cat shooting system.
I read that the footage is in-engine. If the way the snow is moved around by his feet and knees is real-time, that's really impressive. I was thoroughly entertained by the first one. Yes, it felt a little unbalanced, but it was still an excellent package of gaming, and the excessive shooting passages were at least very well done!
The last games special effect was how his pants got wet, the new game will have fancy snow stuff . Haha
Indeed, I want more puzzles and exploration instead of playing a fps. PS: How did he survive so long in the cold with just jeans and a t-shirt?
Is it time to start guessing release dates? I would say probably later next year, in time for christmas.
That goes for the majority of todays games now doesn't it(shoot the guy in the red hat, run, shoot the same guy in an orange hat rinse repeat) I to want more exploration in this sequel as well though but the 1st game was ace in what it set out to do. I'm more interested in the "free climbing" "stealth" exploration things this squeal is talking about and I'm happy they change up the settings a bit with snow etc.. I'd expect U2 around November 2009 Bless
Ya, Gears of War is like that. But I guess Uncharted is meant to be more... adventure. So it should include more adventurous things . Are you the only person who heard me mention "free climbing mechanic and stealth gameplay"? Because that sounds like it will add some exploring. This free climbing system sounds cool.
