She got an apple gift card with 1350.00 dollars on it. I got a weird vibe from the Mac genius once we talked for a while........he all but said wait. Maybe I was reading into it but my wife was right there and thought the same thing and decided to wait all by herself. She is a geek and would be hurt if somthing cool came out in 2 weeks and she had already bought the macbook. So she has the apple card in the safe and ready to spend.

Thanks for sharing that. If only all of us could be that fortunate. :rolleyes:

It was a college graduation gift, so I don't know what you're trying to insinuate. But whatever, Merry Christmas!

@Vapor

Thanks for sharing your experience with the Mac genius, I've convinced my Mom and Dad to consider a Macbook for my Mom and now I may want to wait until Macworld to see what comes of it...I would be upset too if a new Macbook came out and I just purchased one.

I can't swear to there being anything to it......he was being very vague....but he did go from get a macbook to hey it is just 15 days away.

hey it is just 15 days away.

And what an agonizing wait that will be. I'm itching for an upgrade for my 1st gen MBP and being on holiday is stretching my patience. Guess I should have picked a different time for my holiday. :)

Well here we are waiting for Macworld and the wife is excited, she has here apple gift card and waiting for Tuesday. What time will anything new be available......You think there will be a line?

I think it's available at the moment SJ announces it (the employees unveil it at the store at the correct time).

The line will depend on which store you're at o/c. If you're in suburbia, I doubt the lines will be too long, but if you're in SF/NY, forget it (well not really, but you know what I mean).
