And aluminium is what 35p a pound?
 
I wasn't able to take it in until today...Crazy I know, I just haven't gotten around to it because I don't live close to an Apple store and it didn't seem too urgent.

The genius was kind enough to make a one time out of warranty exception. :apple::apple::apple: They're replacing the entire back panel and trying to clean up the lower base at absolutely no charge to me. I brought in my incase cover and honestly explained that I had dropped it while inside the case. According to the documentation, it would have cost $1,140 if they hadn't covered it. 😱
