use volume controls. not that hard.

adding a button adds more complexity and user has to learn more. next you’ll be asking for a subtitle/CC button, a power button, a fast forward button, a rewind button.
That’s a lie, I said nothing about those other buttons. If you knew what you are talking about you would know you can already do all of that. Even ff on stuff you can pause. You can’t mute. Being dishonest in your replies makes you sound, well dishonest.

The lower volume button is way too slow. A pain when you need to mute all of a sudden.

What's a lie?

Of course a button would be faster. But while you might be asking for a mute button, someone who is deaf might be asking for a subtitle button, someone else is asking for a power button (search this thread), someone else might be asking for a fast forward/rewind button, etc...

At some point Apple draws the line. This is the line they drew.

That’s NOT what you said. You said I would be asking for those things. A lie, I can already do them.

I have to turn it off or back out to pause because lowering the volume is so slow.

I know exactly what line they drew, just stating my opinion which you obviously took personally.

you also said “people complaining are simply afraid of change”. Not liking lowering the volume to mute is being afraid of change?

you as in you all.

it's not a lie as you can use the volume control. yes it's slower, but you can achieve the same outcome.

i'm not taking it personally. i'm thinking about this objectively. obviously you're taking this very personally as i can sense the anger and frustrating in your comments in which you're inaccurately accusing me of false things.

You guys can argue all you want, I use the "Remote App" to control the ATV and a Harmony remote for my system so I can control volume for ATV and AV receiver, and Comcast box. Have all original remotes in the drawer just in case. I can not live without the "Mute" function (mutes receiver not TV), I don't run audio through the TV. I use the Comcast cable guide to blank screen for Trump and commercials I don't want to watch.

Silver one was OK but too thin.
My parents were loosing theirs all the time.

Harmony is good, bu the nl problem if you have to pre-program them with ALL features.... When people don't tell you in advance want needs to be programmed is a real pain.... until they try to control.

I usually almost never program is everything, no one needs... only the everyday tasks you would need. (volume up/down,switch devices, source input for TV selection HDMI inputs. etc.. and DVD recorder or cable ..

The only thing missing is these all-in-one's don't do Siri... Plus,i hope the build quality is better..

The buttons on my harmony don't function all the time from constant pressing, even with new batteries.
