...And unlike with Android, you can't kill the server or background service in iOS that checks for updates on the App Store. I learned that one the hard way when my Little Caeser's app forced an impossible version on me (it wouldn't run on a device below iOS 13, I was stuck on 12) and just refused to open.
Android, Galaxy S4, stuck on Kitkat, no Play Services internet access, still works.
Can't run pretty much any third party app on iOS 6, the last and best version of true iOS IMO. Even iMessage and YouTube is broken. Meanwhile, my HTC Thunderbolt could still use YouTube via the browser.
