I was able to get my original plan but back in place this morning. It took the manager to do it but at least it's done.

I still think it's shady knowing full well millions of current iPhone owners may not be paying attention and have this occur to their accounts.

These boards make up a very small portion of the total people using the device.
My advice it to verify and not just count on AT$T to do it for you. Things can happen and if you don't check no one else is going to do it for you.

I just got off the phone with AT&T. They tried to charge me for my unlimited plan, but there was a security hold on my credit card. I'm out of the country, so I was unaware. The e-mail said I would have to choose a new plan once I updated my payment info. Of course, I didn't want to choose a new plan, since it's no longer an option on the iPad.

The CSR had me sign up for a 2GB plan, which she then zeroed out and I have a new unlimited plan now pending.

So, I'm just saying it is possible, at least on the iPad.

When I was at the Apple store and I was talking to the AT&T reps standing by incase of issues they told me that a lot of people that get the iPhone 4 might accidentally switch to the new 2gb plan and lose their unlimited. He said it was something the company wanted customers to do because once they did it they wouldn't be able to get their unlimited plan back.
