Unlocked AT&T Iphone 6/6+ will work on Verizon,T-Mobile

And Verizon needs to start activating SIMs on devices bought for other networks. Once the unlock agreement is in effect, I personally think it's stupid for Sprint and Verizon to continue restricting their networks. It'll be way too easy for customers to move from Verizon/Sprint to ATT/TMobile but if Verizon/Sprint continues with their whitelist policy, the reverse won't be.

It may be possible to get them to add the device. In the past, some people had warranty replacement iPhone 5s and 5Ss show up as "non-VZW" devices, and they were able to get them added to the whitelist through some sort of procedure.

Just to confirm, a ATT iphone 6 plus will work with a t-mobile sim card? I'm seriously debating on going to target the buy an ATT 6plus that they have in stock, although im not sure if they are willing to sell me one without a contract. I just sick of waiting on tmobile's shipping time

No, the ATT phone doesn't work with T-Mobile SIM card. It's the other way around. A T-Mo no-contract iPhone 6 will work with an ATT SIM OR any other GSM SIM.

AND YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS FROM THE APPLE STORE, NOT FROM T-MOBILE

AT&T phone works fine with a T-mobile SIM (and Verizon SIM) if it's unlocked, which it would be if you paid full price

Like I said in the original post, phone must be unlocked.Either by AT&T or by a 3rd party, price $79 to $99,wait time 24-48 hours,& sim card must already be activated.I but the phone from Best Buy on 2 year contract. And believe me T-mobile & Verizon work just fine.

I thought we were talking about the new iPhone 6, and you're saying you can get AT&T to unlock it for a fee without fulfilling the 2 yr contract?

Because everything I heard about the AT&T phone is that full-price still meant locked to AT&T. They said it would be another 1-2 months before unlocked ATT phones were available at full price.

Yes we are talking about the 6 & 6+,there are several sites on the internet that charge a fee to unlock these phones.http://www.cellunlocker.net/ is what I used.If you get the phone subsidized like I did(upgrade) or next plan, AT&T either will not unlockit or will take time or they might charge a fee.I did not want to wait.Took about 24 hours & was real simple to do.

As long as you paid full price for your AT&T iPhone, you can request to get it unlocked. I think there's a 30-60 day wait for new accounts, though, but other than that, I think you can request unlock immediately. If you bought full price from Apple Store, then it's likely already unlocked.

AT&T will not unlock iPhones bought on 2-year contract or Next unless you pay ETF or pay off the full Next balance respectively. However, there are 3rd party unlock sites that will unlock your iPhone for a fee.

I see that this thread has been quiet for a couple of weeks, but I just wanted to add my personal experience as well to verify that a full price no-contract AT&T iPhone 6+ purchased at the Apple store does work flawlessly with my T-Mobile SIM... VoLTE and even T-Mobile's wifi calling work like a charm.

No unlock request was needed. I just made sure to have my T-Mobile SIM inserted before turning on the phone for the first time.
