I switched to Windows from being with Apple for ten years, including my iphone, computer, every single thing.
then I realized, even if apple isn't as flawless as it was once, the competition just is not there yet.
and so I'm back.

Curiously it didn't work for me in the beginning (always only once after activating it), but for the last two weeks, it's been pretty solid. I'd say 9 times out of 10 - and that one time might be that I'm too far away from the MBA for the near field Bluetooth to work.

Overall I'm really happy with this feature!

I went away for 3 days. Returned and it worked 1st time. Then an hour later it doesn't work then it does then it doesn't then it does.

Just can't be bothered with it really. It doesn't save any time anyway.

I can't even get it started. I have enabled, disabled, enabled, disabled 2fa so many times I could do it with my eyes shut. But I always get the message to do whatever I just did in order to use my Apple watch.

I give up.

series 2 watch, 2015 MBP - no issues at all with using the watch to unlock and I don't find that it takes too long either...

I have gotten airdrop to work on occasion but you have to have both machines on and the airdrop option in finder open for it to work it seems.
The problem I have is that sometimes it just doesn't show the other machine even though everything seems to be the same as when it does show up.

If I can't rely on something, I just switch over to something I can count on...

My Watch was unlocking my MBP perfectly when first enabled. I then enabled unlocking a Mac Mini with the watch and since then, the MBP will not unlock at all with the watch. I now no longer have the Mac Mini but no amount of turning the unlock with Apple watch setting on and off on the MBP and even unpairing and repairing the watch will make it work.

I just don't know what else to do to make it work short of going into an Apple store with all of it and asking them to fix it.

EDIT - Amazingly, I have just removed the Logitech MX Master mouse from my list of bluetooth devices on the MBP and the watch proceeded to unlock the Mac no problem. Now to see if it'll keep unlocking it. But it might be worth trying removing some other bluetooth devices to see if that fixes the issue.

Works 95% of the time with my 2015 MBP. Sometimes there is a delay, sometimes it's lighting fast(don't even see the lock screen).
