Just a heads up, anyone who is trying to jailbreak 4.2.8 on Verizon iPhone should check out our JailbreakMe 3.0 Tutorial, this will be the easiest and fastest way to jailbreak until iOS5 comes out unless Apple releases another small update to patch the PDF exploit that allows JailbreakMe to work.
Jailbreakme does not work for Verizon iPhone 4 because is requires iOS 4.3.3 to work. The Verizon iPhone goes as high as iOS 4.2.8.
