"untrackerd"

I haven't noticed anything different with my phone. Everything is smooth and the battery life (since going to 4.3.2) has been great. It's a very small daemon that periodically erases the tracking file. It's probably no more demanding than than opening iFile and deleting it manually.

were you really having that many problems w/ 4.3.1 battery? i've seen a ton of people complain about it, but i'm not sure i've got an issue.

today, i'm at 76%, usage @ 2hrs 25mins, standby 7hrs 43mins. i don't consider that bad at all. i usually get about 1.5 days out of a full charge.
 
My data has been so slow since installing this app. anyone else notice this? pandora wont even play barely

noticed this as well. i've since deleted the app. i honestly couldn't care if i'm being 'tracked'. i'm not a drug dealer.

I'm a light user but it's a noticeable improvement. I didn't have the drastic battery drain MissJenna had though. She was loosing something like 30% overnight (I think).

Yesterday morning my phone started off with 100%. I've made 4 calls, checked my mail a few times, loaded Cydia multiple times, updated packages and resprung multiple times, checked twitter twice yesterday and once today, used Maps with location just long enough to get my location and tested Find My iPhone. I'm still at 88%. When using 4.3.1 the same thing would have had my phone showing in the upper 70 to lower 80 percent range.

On 4.1 and earlier, and now with 4.3.2, I can start with a full charge in the morning and almost bet that I'll be in the low 90% area by night time. With 4.3.1 it was consistently around low to mid 80's. Not drastic but enough to bother me. :)

Aside from battery life, opening and closing apps, along with scrolling are more smooth and don't lag or stutter. I was having those issues on 4.3.1 as well. Some people on this site with stock iPhones reported worse battery and jittery animations so I don't think it was the JB tools or certain tweaks doing this. Then you have some who aren't experiencing any of these issues with 4.3.1 and are happy to stay with it. I'm not sure why it's so random. If you're happy with what you have it may be best to stay there since it can be a hassle reorganizing the phone again. Then again, if you have some free time 4.3.2 is ready and waiting. :)
 
when you jailbroke 4.3.2, how did you back up your apps, or did you?

i know it's off topic from the OP, but i'm considering 4.3.2, but don't wanna pay 8 bucks for the pkgbackup (or whatever it's called). i don't have that many packages installed, so i was planning on just reinstalling them post-JB. how does it work if you have paid-for apps (e.g. bitesms, etc.)?
 
I didn't use anything to back up previous packages and always restore as a new iPhone. I wrote out a list of things I use from Cydia and took screenshots of each page and in every folder. When it was time to place everything back it was a lot easier than trying to remember how I had it before. I used the app organizer in iTunes and went page by page. In the past I'd sync over everything and then organize but I find my new method is a lot faster and easier for me.

From start to finish I'd say it takes me 2-2.5 hours.

Yes, just search for them and it'll already say "Officially Purchased App" and you'll have an Install button instead of Purchase. In the case of certain apps that you buy after downloading, like biteSMS, it'll check for a purchased license when you open it for the first time.

It's not working for me right now (server issues) but if you go into "Manage Account" on Cydia's homepage you'll get a list of apps you've purchased.

Why is iphone tracker app only available for snow leopard? What is it with these pigs making all their software for snow leopard only? I have the snow leopard disk but I ain't installing that POS OS on my machine. All my backups are on regular leopard.

And WHY THE F&#^ is untrackerd ONLY available for 4.0!!! WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL WITH 4.0!!???? I need to erase my locations. A couple weeks ago there were cops just chillin' outside my house. They left within about 20 minutes, but still. I smoke marijuana, I don't want cops knowing S#I# about me!

And people wondering why I'm so mad...I have a 2g iphone on 3.1.3 Even if I had a 3gs, I would still keep it on 3.1.3 4.0 backgrounding isn't even REAL backgrounding! That's what backgrounder is for! And please, for the love of GOD, don't start talking about how oh, I shouldn't smoke weed, oh blah blah blah.

Pigs? You mean the people that make free apps for you? Pigs?

You don't want to use SL, you don't want to use 4.0, but they are pigs because you can't use the free apps they provide?

Why were there "cops chillin' outside your house?" Do you have a big sign on the front of it saying, "I smoke marijuana, I'm paranoid, hang around my house and freak me out?"

Why would cops want to know about a little penny-ante guy smoking weed? You can't be selling, or you'd have more than a 2G. :) :)

Smoke all the weed you want, it's clearly doing your state of mind wonders. No one here cares what you do. Smoke, drink, your choice.

But come on here ranting and someone (I volunteer) will certainly point out that you make no sense and sound like a dweeb who can't handle the high.

they found it in 4.x, not 3.x i dont think they even know if its in 3.x

The PIGS make free apps for version numbers that I don't have.

The reason I'm not on 4.0 is because I have a 2g iphone. There's an app called "Dimmer" that I want but it's only for 4.0. It enables you to lower your backlight brightness even lower than the stock low brightness. You can make your screen black if you wanted to like how you can make a macbook screen completely black. That is useful while in the dark because the stock 0% brightness is still too bright.

The reason I don't have snow leopard installed is because it's buggy. Personal reasons that you probably don't deal with. That's really besides the point though. There's no reason why the location app is only available for snow leopard. The latest iphone 4 can be synced with regular leopard, so I have no clue why the location app was only made for snow leopard. That is a flaw on the developer's part.

Actually, I was SOBER when I made that post. I got high afterwards though. I don't fall into the typical stoner stereotype. I go to school and get straight A's. I use canabbis for medicinal purposes, not to "get blasted."

Before you try putting someone on blast, make sure you have all the information first. In this case, you didn't.

Sorry for the double post, I know you people around here get pissed when people do that, but I have a point. The article I read on yahoo news stated that the hacker who found out about the location thing DID say that 3.0 logs locations just in a DIFFERENT way. They don't know how because they didn't take the time to figure it out for 3.x.
