Video Recording App!!!

When is anyone going to develop a video recordin g App. This is a basic feature on almost every phone that has a camera on. Somebody please build this App!!!!:D:apple:

Wikipanion Plus. I got an early copy of it, so you can read my review of it in my sig. It's awesome.

:DI guess nobody wants to record anything on video in their iPhones.:):p:apple:

The problem is that, currently, the only way to access the camera in the SDK is to use the same method camera.app uses. So developers can't define that they want the camera to be used for a video. The only way they would be able to do it would be by taking X pictures per second and patching them together. But again, the way the camera is set up it can only churn out 2 maybe 3 pictures a second, which would make for a pretty worthless flipbook. (I wouldn't even call it a video.)

Autumn V1.1

Hello everybody!

I've built an App that I think looks really nice.
It's just a little toy to look at and play around with.

check it out here

and please let me know what you think about it.

(since we have the new version(1.1) on the AppStore it runs stable on ALL iPhones & iPod Touch ;) )

Does anyone know if there will abe a skype app anytime soon?
:(... I don't think Skype will come for the iPhone as it duplicates functionality of it (making a call). In addition, your carrier, who has some influence on apple, won't want you to make cheap calls via skype on your iPhone instead of using his costly service of "regular calls".:(

This part should not be an issue as there are already other ways to call even cheaper (and better quality) to phones then with skype, using www.jaxtr.com for example.. the problem is the network load of p2p calls. wifi no one would mind but using skype on the 3G network would generate too much data for the phone companies to keep their 3G stable..

about Autumn; i just tried it and its nice! But it crashes every time i choose my own background photo, but whats worse the photos are rotated and stretched to landscape view, while they were taken in portrait mode with the iphone itself..

According to some googling around, VoIP is allowed as long as it isn't done over the EDGE network.

In the UK, at least, Skype are tied into providing their services for mobile phones on the Three network, so developing for the iPhone (and hence the O2 network) might break their current contract.

I'm very sorry to hear that it crashes when you're using your own photos.:( May I ask which kind of photos (format/size) you've tried?
As there is currently no way to define whether your chosen picture should be used in landscape or portrait mode,
I can imagine that false stretching might occur....

I'll fix these 2 issues in the upcoming version.

thanks for your quote! :)

Hurrah! [app]Flickr Mixr[/app] is out, it was a fairly long time in review.

Flickr Mixr retrieves the most "interesting" images from Flickr, (e.g. the most commented, linked to, or viewed) spanning anywhere between the present date and when Flickr began. Essentially, this means you have an endless supply of great images to browse through whenever you feel the need.

The application web page has all of the information you need, to save myself cluttering up the thread. :)

As always, suggestions and improvements are always welcome - you can contact me on here or shoot me an email from the main Antis page.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Imangi Word Squares

Hello everyone,

I'm excited to announce that Imangi Word Squares, our second iPhone game, was submitted to the App Store last night!

Imangi Word Squares is a unique take on a popular puzzle that is thousands of years old. I stumbled upon the puzzle concept while developing Imangi. At the time, I was curious to know if it was possible to fill an entire 6x8 Imangi board with valid words. I found out that it was possible if you are given the correct letters, and that it is called a word square. This inspired me to include solvable "Perfect Imangi" boards for the Daily Challenge in Imangi every once in a while. These turned out to be quite popular and fun, and I decided to turn them into a full game.

In Imangi Word Squares, you start with a scrambled word square, and it’s your job to unscramble the letters. Simply drag and drop the letters to the correct place. We give you a few hints to get started, and you can always use the hint button if you get stuck. The game strategy is very similar to Sudoku, and if you enjoy that type of puzzle, you'll love Imangi Word Squares.

We've included over a thousand hand-selected unique puzzles of various sizes and difficulties. It will be available in the App Store soon with an introductory price of $0.99.

Check out the pre-release announcement, including screenshots, over at GamesAreEvil.com.

Take care,

-Keith

Here are a few more screens from my next app. These are from the how to play section. It should explain the gameplay so you know what to expect in the coming week or so.

Hi everyone,

Finally my first iPhone app made it to the AppStore.
It's called Numerus and it's a scientific calculator. I think it's better than Apple's one and most of the other calculators on the AppStore. :)
It preserves your calculating history, so you can just scroll back and tap previous results (or entries) to copy them. You can also save your results into variables and then calculate with the variables.
To see this in action check out the video I've created:

Watch the video.

Or visit my website.

See it on the AppStore.
