Which thread is more ridiculous, this one or the one where the guy claimed to have exchanged his iPhone 16 times? Honestly it's a coin toss.

I personally think the one where the guy changed his iPhone 16 times was ridiculous and I still don’t believe it. This thread seems normal to me as someone who is undecided on which phone to use.

My reception is no worse for sure, and that’s something I pay really close attention to since we don’t live in an area with good cell service. Right now I have a single LTE bar on my 2020 iPad Pro, and 2 bars on my SE. Thank goodness for WiFi, even though mine is notorious for being crappy in bad weather.

OK one last question I have.. is how the call quality on speakerphone? I have seen some people say it’s not that great and since the 7 had that speaker/microphone issue I wasn’t sure if it was the same.

sitting here and contemplating and going back and forth. I’m so glad you made this thread. I need to check into phones anonymous. Lol

Did someone twist your arm and make you read it?

FWIW, the only Apple device I have EVER returned before now is an XS Max because the OLED gave me headaches. There are a lot of options these days, and each have their pros and cons. I really enjoyed the discussion on this thread about what people love or don’t love about different phones. I have come away from it with a very different perspective regarding my phone, and the purpose of it, which may save me lots of money going forward. Not ridiculous to me.

I started this thread over 2 months ago. Yours is the first rude/unnecessary comment. If it is of no interest to you, you need not read nor participate.

It hasn’t been an issue for me. I do use speakerphone fairly often, although I also have crappy cellular, so if people have trouble hearing me, I don’t know if it’s the cellular or the speaker. I will say that the times I’ve used it in my car (like when car play is acting up, or updating), I’ve had no problems at all, and those are times I’d have better signal than at home.

Pick a phone and get on with life like every one else. Having a phone saga is the definition of ridiculous. No one is prevented from participating on this forum so I’ll provide my opinion any time I choose.

Going on and on about picking a phone is beyond ridiculous. IT’S A PHONE.
Yes, I realize it is a phone. Like i said, we all need a little help, guidance and support in some area of our life at times, and phones are no exception.

There is no need to beat the OP over the head with your sentiment nor is there any reason to type in caps. If you feel the need to emphasis a point, that is what the exclamation point is for.

Maybe another thread would be more to your liking?

With 335 responses to date, this has been one of the most popular threads on the forum recently, so many members, including myself, find it interesting. No one is telling you that you can't express your opinion, but that the reasonable action to take if you aren't interested or find it ridiculous, is to just ignore the thread and move on.

Fair enough, but no one is prevented from starting a thread about trying to decide on the best phone for their situation either. After all, it IS an iPhone discussion board, and the discussion was about the pros/cons of several different phones.

Have ordered a Black 64Gb SE and black leather case to try. Battery is not really a concern as i am either in my home office or car using CarPlay plugged in. I only use less than 50% now in a day if not plugged in my car.
Before CarPlay i use to like a big phone for google maps.
Hopefully the camera will be good enough. Went with 64gb as i am only actually using 22gb on my 256 11 pro, my iCloud photos/videos are nearing 200gb so am better off just using iCloud or i would be needing 512gb soon to have them downloaded.
We will see, if i don't like it i will be keeping the 11 pro for another year, whatever comes in the cheapest 12 series will be over $1kAud here and don't want to be paying $1200-$2k again for my uses, really my main use for a phone is calls as it runs my business, my 11 " iPad gets more use. Tap to wake could be my most missed feature but then TID will be good on desk and in my brodit car holder.

Subjective. I have both and haven’t picked up my 11 pro once since I received the se. But, I do understand everyone’s needs are different.

I bought a 7 recently as an iPT and have not used my 11 Pro much except for calls. I would’ve grabbed the SE in a heartbeat if the 12 wasn’t about two weeks away from being announced.

ETA: now that I’m with AT&T, I just realized Walmart is still doing the $199 iPhone SE deal. Tempted now.

I hear you. This addiction we have is fun and expensive. Lol. I plan on getting the 12 as well.

Guess if you are not comparing them side by side you could get used to it, SE is very washed out though, even the same wallpaper just looks bland colour dull on the SE.
TID is hopeless with any moisture on fingers, No masks here.

Like I said. All that is subjective. I have both and can side by side compare them. But why? I know what both phones are, who they’re targeted at and each of their short comings (on paper). For me, having the se on my service belt is perfect for an already 30+lb belt and if it gets damaged.. so what. It was only $400. My 11 pro on the other hand is a lot harder to swallow having a $1,000 phone smashed up. Again, it’s personal preference. And, I have to wear a mask for my entire shift so Touch ID is a must. Even with blood on my fingers it still works fine.
