All four other people i know with one (not on the web - real people ) have returned the watch. The only other person who i know with one and he hasn't is an apple employee.

While its not scientific by any measure its a poor indicator..
Honest answer, i think the watch in sport form is worth tops $150, $200 at a push with an extra band. (just my opinion).
Given your experience I see why you draw that conclusion. I only know one coworker with one and he likes it. I work from home do don't get to see who else has them. I'm pretty happy with mine.

I almost said Apple doesn't price things that low but remembered the Apple TV. I just don't see them pricing that low when they are selling well vs. the competition. Will have to see what they do.

I have a friend that's been trying to sale a space black Apple Watch 42mm with apple care for $500. No luck.

So Up-date: I figured out why this watch was returned, the heart rate monitor didn't work on it. So I returned it. I was asked if I wanted another to replace it with, and they just got a gold and blue sports model in and it was $347.99. So I said sure, I'll take that one, it was $2 cheaper (WOOHOO!) and I gave her a $5 coupon BB had emailed me. So she rang me up but forgot to use the $5 coupon, so she price matched it instead.

But she didnt price match it for $5, she took another $45 off! Score! So I got a Gold and Blue Sport 42MM for $260!

I'm pretty happy about it.

Why did she take off the $45?

Why did she take off the $45?
No clue, not sure if she mistyped the 5 to 45 or what...I didn't realize what had been done until I looked the receipt she gave me as I sat in the car setting the watch up.
