well good news, gang.

i actually received a call from a CSR that told me the other day she would call me back to check if i got the phone by today. i told her it didn't and that i wanted to talk to a supervisor, and she then told me that she would talk to one personally and get back to me.

well, she did, and she called me and i have been told (and guaranteed) that my phone will arrive in the next 3-5 business days.

i suppose the new shipment is allowing the orders to actually flow through and be sent out. i hope you guys get the same news.

At this point, I don't believe any word coming out of the Premier group. They told us that a new shipment would arrive but failed to mention it was just for the retail stores. Now we're waiting on another shipping that's coming with the next few days?

When does it end? Beyond frustrated...

Not sure if this means anything or not but just tried to call the Premier line and get a voice recording.

Says that their systems are being "upgraded" and to call back the next 1-2 hours...lol

Whoa...just checked the AT&T site

No longer have a "1" in the back-ordered column...could be good news

Batch 889, order date of 6/22

2x black 32gb just lost "1" in back order column, but still "0" in shipped column.

889 group with 6/22 warehouse date

edit: got shipping e-mail 6/30 morning, package due tomorrow 7/1

BUMP!! Any recent updates? I just ordered mine today and its processing and back ordered. How long does this usually take?

Update From At&t

Some orders placed on 6/29 through the AT&T Premier online store still haven't been fulfilled and are delayed longer DUE TO APPLE.

I just spoke to a CSR who said they received a smaller shipment than expected and AT&T and Apple were supposed to pause all orders that day but that Apple continued taking orders, pushing back those of use who ordered in the afternoon on 6/29 3-4 business days. Way to go, Apple.

Ordered on June 29th and had some problems

Ordered 2 16gb iPhones on 6/29, but then got an email that said to please contact AT&T

On July 1 or 2 I called back and it turns out there was balance on my account which was because of the previous 3gs iPhones ordered a couple months back that i canceled/returned, apparently in their system it didn't show up as canceled or returned, but we got that sorted out.

The order was still on 'ATTENTION!'

Then today, July 7, I called got connected to AT&T, and for some reason the social security didn't match the billing address, which it did, so that had to be fixed. Then later after another redirection they had to have the credit department finally approve of the order. So now the representative said everything is fine now and I should get an email and/or update on my order in the next 24 hours on my side. On AT&T side everything is fine now. It just needs to be updated on my part.

I was having so much trouble with my Premier account that I ended up just canceling it and forgoing the discount so I would be able to get my iPhone 4.

Funny thing is I still don't have the phone yet...

I also went from "Processing" to "Attention". Just spoke to AT&T Premier, and the rep says there was some sort of unknown error on AT&T's side. She can process the order manually, but they are not allowed to override the price of the iPhone. What this means for me is that they will charge me the full retail price of the iPhone ($599) and will "expedite" a credit of $400 (bringing the price back down to $199) in 7-10 days. Since I'm ordering two iPhones, I'd be out of pocked $1200 until AT&T decided to refund the other $800. Thanks, but no thanks. After reading this forum, my confidence in their customer service is extremely low- I can just see waiting months for them to credit me the money they wouldn't have charged anyway if it weren't for their screw-up.

The rep says I can cancel and then re-try the online ordering system. Not sure if it's worth the trouble...

Order Completion

Just thought I'd relate my experience, during which I found this thread to be of some comfort:

After waiting to no avail outside of the AT&T store in line, and receiving my complementary water bottle. I was told there was no hope for me on that day (was that the 29th?) Too far back in line... I stupidly only got there at 8...

So, on July 1 I ordered my iPhone 4 on my "Premier" account, our family, except me all have G3s's on the family plan, well I wanted to wait... based on that bar-stool thing, and so I did.

I was pleased to be informed by AT&T after ordering: "7-10 days"... not too bad, but would it be longer?

After pensively glancing between order status, and this forum from time to time, from which only hints of comfort came, finally on Saturday, the 10th, it shipped out. I had almost forgotten about it and just checked on a lark, There it was, ... I have an I phone coming....?!?

Well it came Monday afternoon, FEDEX, yesterday the 12th (that's 10 days). Setup was fine, all things synced, and this morning the AT&T-provided tethering setup worked on the first try, and, via blue tooth, I was doing as fine as with the Verizon air card, which will now be cancelled... The interesting thing, although the speed is probably slower than the Verizon service on my commute, to me it was smoother, because the calls, if dropped, were seamlessly reconnected with the iPhone4, the usual bother of clicking and waiting required on the air card was not there.

So, just to say, I relaxed, and it was not that bad, and thanks for the moral support.

O' ya, and I bumper enabled it today, not too painful, and easier to keep a good grip... and the signal strength thingie seems to be mitigated ...

Are other people getting the attention problem still? I ordered 2 phones over the weekend (Saturday) and the status went to attention on Sunday.

***Update*** It said that because there was an issue with the information provided online. Looks like they are still having problems.
