Still sitting at processing and nothing on the regular order status page but my 2-year old Blackberry order (which, since it wasn't placed in the last 60 days, shouldn't be showing up at all).

On the plus side, I was offered a survey to rate my experience with Premier. Just an overflowing handful of problems to mention. That made me feel a bit better anyway.

Just had a nice little chat with a Premier rep after receiving yet another "AT&T Premier Order Requires Your Attention" email. Turns out my credit card company decided that my iPhone purchase was a fraudulent transaction and therefore declined the charge.

At least I know what the problem is now. Hopefully it all goes through, now that I've spoken with the credit card company to notify them that the charge is coming and that I authorize the transaction.

Still does not show shipped, however on main ATT site backorder status is gone; And now I have a tracking number!:D

I'm now listed as backordered on the ATT main site with an order date of 06/23/10. Hooray for progress.

Well, looks like I won't be getting my phone tomorrow.

Called AT&T and the rep said the last shipments went out about 30 minutes ago so they're done for the day.

My order has been processed but still not shipped. He said "by Friday the latest"

We'll see but man, I'm freaking anxious.

Called premier and informed them of two orders showing up on the normal site, two pre-charges on my credit card. She was mystified that orders show up on the normal order status page, had no idea what to do with those order numbers and put me on hold. Came back on after being on hold for 30 minutes and was informed everything was kosher, the 2nd pre-charge would drop off and I am only getting 1 iPhone, as ordered.

Well, just got an email from premier with a tracking number. Only problem is, the regular order status page showed a tracking number for the additional phone. Looks like the morons are sending two iPhones after all, after assuring me only one was being shipped. Called them, I get put on hold for 15 minutes, then they hang up on me.

Oh well, I guess two phones being shipped to me tomorrow is better than none.

Lucky guys. I'm still at "Processing" and still have nothing showing up on the main AT&T order status page. Rep this morning tried to tell me it should never show up on the main page.

At least it doesn't say attention any more.

Does this mean that the iPhone may still not be shipped for 3 more days?

Email from AT&T:
"We shipped your recently placed AT&T Premier order.

If you pre-ordered the iPhone 4, it is staged for pickup by our shipping carrier. Because of unprecedented volume, it may be as much as 72 hours before the carrier can provide any detailed information to you. Please don't be concerned if you visit the carrier's site and specific information about your order is not provided. The information will be updated when the carrier picks up the order at our warehouse."

No. It shipped today, which means you should get it tomorrow.

All this means is that the carrier's website probably won't be updating in anything close to real-time. So it might get delivered before the tracking number even shows it out for delivery. Happens all the time around Christmas, when a lot of packages are being delivered.

I'm still holding out a faint hope that even though nothing's said shipped, my phone still might arrive tomorrow. Doubtful, but when I ordered my Blackberry from Premier two years ago, I didn't get a notification of shipment from Premier until two days after it actually arrived.

Premier's website and service has been crap for a long time.

Called today and miraculously got connected before the automated voice had even finished speaking. BEFORE hearing even one strain of that horrible horrible smooth jazz loop.

Was calling to see if it was possible to cancel my preorder and pick up a phone in-store or wait for the White, having had enough with AT&T. Wanted to know if it had even been processed far enough to affect my upgrade eligibility.

The Rep said that my order had finally cleared all hurdles and was being prepared for shipment, but that there was still time to cancel.

Somehow, I don't believe her. She said she could reset the upgrade eligibility instantly, but I didn't want to risk it. Will see if it actually ships today or tomorrow ... I'm going out of town so it doesn't matter much at this point.

Oh well.

Heh, my order is FINALLY showing up on the main AT&T status page.

Order date: June 24. Hah.

Backordered: 1.

Progress!

Talked to a Premier Rep again this morning. He said that he was told they were expecting a big shipment today and that the remaining people who'd ordered on the 15th should see them shipped out Monday the 28th.

Don't really believe him to be honest. He said the fact my order wasn't officially submitted until June 24th (which is what it finally shows on the main AT&T site) doesn't matter, and that they'd use the 15th. Seriously doubt it.

Yeah I wouldn't believe that. It seems pretty clear that they're going on when it's received by the warehouse, not by order date.

Would be nice to have my order next week before the 4th of July weekend at this point.

They stopped taking orders after the 15th anyway, so it doesn't really matter if it says the 24th. or 23rd. or 22nd...etc.

Actually it does matter ... they kept taking orders on the 15th after they'd sold through their initial batch. Which means even though I ordered in time before the 330PM ET cutoff for 24th delivery, all their bungling and screw ups mean I'm probably in the July 2 group, if that. They said that anyone who ordered after 330 would be getting their phone in July (obviously a lie, plenty of people who ordered later got their phone shipped out of order).

I could walk into an Apple Store 7 blocks from my house, and buy an iPhone RIGHT NOW, if only AT&T would let me cancel and reset my eligibility.

I think I finally understand what's going on with AT&T Premier.

All along, there was absolutely no advantage of ordering through the Premier site.

Most of us on here ordered on June 15th expecting to get our phones on June 24th. I ordered on the Premier site and got a confirmation e-mail on June 15th, noon EST. For some strange reason, I could never look up my order status on the regular AT&T site.

Finally, on the June 22...my order showed up. And the reason why we are not getting out phones is because there are no more phones. The Premier was basically just another avenue for placing orders but they didn't have the tools/resources to fulfill the orders. I believe these orders are then routed to the regular fulfillment area. Problem is, looks like the Premier orders were in the back of the group. Ordering from Premier actually hurt us rather than helped.

The Premier rep I spoke with on Friday was the most honest lady I had spoken with out all dozen calls or so. Once they receive another shipment of phones, they'll process the remaining orders (June 29th).

Let's see how long it takes us to actually get these phones now. What sucks is that the regular retail stores start selling the phones on the 29th and we're stuck here with back ordered phones and unable to cancel. Very frustrating...

Correct. However as a Premier customer, dialing 611, going to the website to order, etc. always sends you to Premier. There is no way out unless you remove Premier from your account.

I have a 6/22 phone and a 6/25 phone according to the main site. July 2nd doesn't sound too far fetched. Would have been nice to have the phone for the long weekend coming up, but at this point, I'm mostly complacent that my 2 orders have made it out of Premier and to the main fulfillment site.
