we waited all this time for speck to give us a case for the ipad 3 and THAT was the best they could do...seriously.....disappointing...

Just got off live chat at speck. I cannot get the case to fold in typing mode. His reply, keep working with it -seriously. I am so disappointed as I love my iPhone case and I waited for this to come out. Now I need to find another choice!

That'll kill it for me, and for Speck. I'll continue to use the iPad2 version. I'm guessing they'll modify the case to work as advertised at some point.

Could someone please post the Target DCPI number for the new black case? None of the stores in my area have the new one out. I'd like to be able to see when they get stock in. Thanks!

This case does not work in stand up typing mode. The front cover is so stiff it snaps to flat immediately. I tried taping it folded and it snapped the tape (scotch) off. I'm very disappointed. How can they sell something like this to the public? Total deal breaker. I'm demanding a full refund to include shipping.

I picked up this case from Target a few days ago (Video incoming this week) but its not good :(

Aside from looking nice and being lighter it totally misses the mark for functionality. As many others have stated the stand mode does not work well with the flap always opening. It feels like a struggle just to use this case. I will also mention that while the case awakens when opened, it does not sleep when closed.

While I love Speck's iPhone cases they have yet to really impress me with their iPad cases. I don't know why they cant get it right.

Holding out hope for their Magfolio case line.

After being able to use this case for a few more days I can say that trying to use the cover by rolling it up is just frustrating and I find myself not bothering to use it. However my magnet is fine and keeps it asleep. Must be a problem with some.

Here is my biggest complaint: Speck had months after the release of the new iPad to have their cases ready.

This is plainly not true. The new iPad was not announced until March 7th, so it has been barely a month of its retail availability. You have to bear in mind that case manufacturers don't get advanced details of upcoming Apple products as they build their marketing on secrecy hype.

I also returned mine to target after just one day. Didn't like the folding cover and the fit was just ok. My DeviceWear Ridge folio should be here tomorrow.

Still waiting on the FitFolio case myself. Seems like everyone has their smart cover type case out there and this one just seems like another over priced knock off.

Hate to say it but the pixelskin hd wrap is the worst iPad 3rd gen case I have reviewed thus far. Yes, I realize in my video I demo the movie viewing angle incorrectly - I saw the speck video after I posted mine however, even the typing angle fails at times along with many other aspects of this case.

Shame really as Speck generally produces some good stuff.

I was suprised to see in your video that some of the cases are even having magnet problems. It's a shame because I was hoping this update of the case would fix flaws from the first one. I have to agree with your review especially at that price point it doesn't help speck. Loving the vids :)

This case is a *real* disappointment!

I bought it at Target a few days ago and promptly returned it the next day. The folding cover just does not work good at all in either position that it's supposed to work in. :(

Oh well, the search continues...

Sounds like the original PixelSkin HD is better. I love mine on the new iPad. I won't be buying the new version it looks like.

For typing on the speck fit folio I just uses it the same way they recommend to use the Devicewear ridge.
