Absolutely! Any particular landmarks?I still don't have new maps. :-(
GWhiz, can you navigate over to Flushing, NY and post some screens for me? I'm drooling and can't wait any more. lol

Hmm...Just a few views of the area near the Whitestone Expressway, Union Street, maybe Citi Field. I'm trying to think if there's anything else I desperately want to see...oh yeah, a zoom in of the 3D buildings near Eighth Avenue & West 53rd Street in Manhattan. Wanna see what was updated over there near my office. ^^
WOOOOOOW! Oh my god, my neighborhood looks great! They even modeled the garages between the buildings! And the pool club's pool is there!
*convulses on floor*
[doublepost=1566586100][/doublepost]Even MORE interestingly...the previous parking lot details, which were first added a few months ago, are now corrected and more accurate.
If I had to guess, the parking lot data was TomTom information that was added a few months back. Now that it's Apple's own info, it's refined, and backed up by the street data they collected.
[doublepost=1566586496][/doublepost]Can I get one more shot? Same area as the second picture, just a bit more visible to the north and west, including the shopping center with the Stop and Shop just off Farrington Street.
It's all over Reddit, too. A lot of people are seeing it now. Someone suggested turning off the phone and turning it back on. I tried, but still nothing. :\

So, dumb question, but how do you get to 3D view in the normal map (not satellite)?
I still haven't received the update. But here's a good and bad observation from the other day:
Good - While making a long drive from Long Island to Manhattan, Apple Maps suggested faster routes while driving not once -- but twice, to reflect changing traffic conditions. I was impressed by that. My ETA was nearly spot on.
Bad - POI searching through CarPlay still needs work, apparently. I asked Siri for directions to White Castle. It listed around ten different locations for me...but left out the one closest to me! That made no sense. As I've done in the past, I search more specifically by saying "White Castle on Northern Boulevard in Bayside". That still brought up around ten locations, but included the one I wanted.
Worse, yesterday I asked for directions to McDonald's. It listed around ten locations near me, but for some reason left out the one I actually wanted to go to. So I refined my search, as I've successfully done in the past, by saying "McDonald's on Northern Boulevard in Bayside". But this time, it produced the exact same results, leaving out the one I wanted to go to.
Gotta love this thread! No kale devotees here! Good ol’ red meat (???) White Castles and McDonalds!
Drove around last night. All the buildings in town are just boxes, as @MozMan68 noted. They match their footprints, but there is no detail on them or pitched roofs. The only places that have roof detail are those landmark buildings, like the Empire State Building that are rendered darker in color (probably because they have the greater detail). Have you heard that all structures are going to get this treatment?
They should as it is prevalent in other areas. I think the issue is that it can only be automated to a point.
Can’t wait to head to New York City this week!
Nice detail...
