Updated nVidia 330m driver (270.61) - external display not working

It seems to me that the new 290.36 beta drivers resolve the issue with a not working external display over mini dp.

At least for me.

This is good news. Can anyone else confirm?

This beta 290.36 drivers worked for me too, and also gave me sound when playing games on my TV. The only problem is I get a blue screen of death when I attempt to watch a video on YouTube, so I'd wait for them to come out of beta unless you don't watch videos like me.

In case anyone is still on the fence with updated their display drivers due to this bug, the new 296.10 drivers definitely fix the issue. You can now run bootcamp with an external display on and the lid of your mbp open or closed without any issues. The external display stays active.
