Updated to 2.1, now email doesn't fetch

Same issue here. Just been searching and found this thread.

3G on 2.1, fetching blueyonder email over O2-UK. No longer fetching after 2.1. I just went into email after not checking for a couple of hours and it downloaded five emails! Fur chrissakes!

Not to reiterate but, eh I needed to rant.

See the screenshot, it's my Gmail account activity. My phone was turned on this morning and hasn't fetched my mail at all, not once for at least over 5 hours.

The IMAP entry you see is me forcing a fetch on the phone. Browser is me on my computer.

Fetch is set to 30 minutes on the phone. This is horrible. :|

Fetch working sporatically

Since updating to 2.1, the fetch email function (set to fetch every 15 minutes) seems to work only occasionally. I cannot find the pattern, but I will go significant periods of time without receiving any emails on my iPhone 3G while I'm getting a number of them on my laptop. Both my email accounts are POP accounts. Even when I open the email function on my iPhone and it supposedly connects with my email accounts with the screen showing the spinning dial, no emails are downloaded despite my having received emails since the last email update on the iPhone. Then, at other times, I'll receive emails and then the iPhone will go silent again. For example, I was away from home this afternoon and did not check emails until I returned. I received some emails (thru 3:36 pm), then nothing else as this is written (8:15 pm), despite 2 more emails having arrived, 1 over an hours ago.

Any suggestions?
