Hmmm.. "sudo trimforce enable to enable TRIM on 3rd party drives" is a bit over my head, is it necessary? Sounds complicated.
TRIM is the process where the OS keeps the SSD neat and tidy as you delete stuff. It is not necessary when the disk is new, but as you use it more and more, you will notice saving getting slower and slower if TRIM is not enabled. Apple only enables TRIM for the Apple branded SSDs by default, not for 3rd party disks, because some early 3rd party disks had TRIM issues in macOS. As your drive gets more used, I'd say it's definitely necessary.
After installation, if you want enable TRIM for the new SSD, open a terminal window, and at the prompt type "sudo trimforce enable" (w/o the quotes of course)....
